-Tiffany POV-
I quickly got ready wearing my dark purple maxi skirt and black lace top. I put in my nose piercing and just decided to let my hair loose around my face. And of course, I put on Jaime necklace.
I walked down stairs where Jaime was sitting on the couch with La'gaan watching the news. Boring.
"Hey Jaime. I'm ready." He turned around and jumped over the couch. He smiled and looked at my necklace. "Need luck or something?"
"I have all the luck I need already." I said. "So where are you taking me?"
He walked to the Zeta Tube and pulled me in without answering my question.
Firestorm B24
Blue Beetle B22
When he arrived he took my arm and wrapped it with his and walked down the sand covered street. In the distant, I can see a bundle of lights and rides. I can make out the smell of fried food and sweet candy. The boardwalk.
"The boardwalk?" I asked confused. "Yep. Some of the team is already here. The boardwalk has this 'Teenagers Only' thing at night in the summer. So it's great! Is this okay?"
I hugged onto his arm tighter. "Yeah it is... It's just I've never been to a board walk before..." He turned toward me shocked.
"Really?! We're in Jump City. Didn't you use to live here?"
"Yeah I did for like 4 years, each year with a new family. But still..." I didn't finish what I was going to say. "You didn't come with friends?" I didn't say anything, I just stared ahead.
"Oh I'm sorry. I didn't know..." I shook me head cutting him off. "Don't worry about it. I wasn't a people person."
He snorted and pulled me. "Well then come on. You showed me what you do for fun, kicking people's asses, jumping out windows, ect. I'll show you what I do for fun." He grabbed my hand and made a run for the boardwalk, making me laugh and forcing me to run.
The boardwalk was filled with lights and contraptions I have never seen before. Teenagers were bustling everywhere, weaving in and out of shops and rides. Booths filled with the stranges things and equally strange people preforming strange tasks.
I stood in front of a the roller coast in awe, clearly fascinated by it. "This is a roller coaster yeah?" He pursed his lips and tilted his head a bit, "Last time I checked it was. You've never seen a roller coaster before?" I shook my head slowly.
"Really? Well you will love it! Come on!" He grabbed my arm and we ran through the short line.
We took our seats and strapped in. Suddenly I began to feel useasy. "Wait, Jaime. I've never ridden a roller coaster before..." He just smiled. "If you get scared, just hold onto me okay?"
But I didn't have to. I had my arms up the whole time, screaming along with Jaime. The next hour was all just a blur.
He showed me so many new things I have never seen before, it made me slightly embarrassed. But Jaime seemed like he didn't care. He would tell me what I need to know and move on. That's what I liked about him.
We were sitting in a shop, looking at all the action figures of Superman, laughing at how they looked nothing like the real deal. When in the corner of my eye I saw a hand reach for my hair.
I automatically ducked and grabbed the persons arm from attempting to do anything else. I looked at the person face and gasped.
"What the hell, Brooke?!" She looked the same snobby self except for her nose. It had an ugly scar running across it from when i punched her, the area around it looking irritated and red. No amount of makeup can cover that ugly mess up.
