-Jaime POV-
"Ow. Mom! It's on tight enough already." I pulled on my tie to loosen it up once again. I was dressed in a black suit with a maroon tie to match Tiffany's dress. It was friday, and we're heading to the Smithsonian American Art Museum in D.C for a mission. Even though my mom knew this, she still thought Tiffany and I were going to prom or something.
"I'm sorry mijo. But you just look so handsome!"
"Thanks mom but i gotta go now. We gotta get there by 8." I looked at the clock. 5:30. "I'll see you guys soon. I don't know when i'll be back. Love you both." I ran out the door before my parents can say anything else and flew to the Zeta Tubes.
-Tiffany POV-
"Hate heels, hate dresses." I stood in front of the mirror and looked at myself. I was wearing a maroon lace dress and black 'leggings', which really was my suit. Also i had black high heels that Artemis let me borrow. I put my hair in a loose fishtail and wore dark make up. My mask matched my dress and hopefully the one i got for Blue matched his. I walked down the stairs where i saw Robin down there by himself. Him and i haven't spoken since he had asked me out on a date. But i wanted to be mature and i decided to forget about it. He was sitting at the super computer in his Robin suit, not noticing me walking up behind him.
"Hey Robin. Can you pull up the diagram of the museum again?"
"Yeah." He turned around and just stared at me, mouth slightly open. "Hello?" I said waving my hand in front of his eyes. He jolted in his chair and came back to reality. "I'm sorry its just... you look amazing." He turned back to the computer pulling the diagram up. "Thanks... Robin." i said to him. "No problem. So you remember the plan right?"
The plan was to go into the party with the fake tickets we had made. We would go inside and hang around, try to make our selves not noticable. When they would do the speeches, we would go into the bathroom, change into uniform, climb into the air vents and wait further instruction. I knew the plan well, but i was starting to get nervous. What if i mess up a COVERT mission? What if something goes wrong? STOP. Your going to do fine, Tiffany. I thought to myself.
"I remember."
Blue Beetle B22
Just on time. He looked handsome out of his normal hoodie and jeans. Wearing a tux and everything. We all headed to the Bio Ship that was out back, Jaime and I lagging behind a bit.
"Nice tux, Blue." I said as i handed him his mask. He put it on, looking creepy in the already setting sun.
"Nice dress, Storm." I put on my mask and buckled myself in. This was going to be fun.
About a hour later, we landed a couple blocks away from the museum, about to drop off.
Is everyone online? Miss.M said in my head. We all nodded. Blue and I were about to go when Robin said Just be safe okay? Jaime just shook his head. Its covert, Rob. We'll be fine. Even though Robin wasn't looking at either of us when he said that, i had a feeling it was more meant toward me than to Blue...
We walked to the museum where we saw thousands of teenagers coming out of limos and expensive cars, looking like they came out of magazines. The museum was lit up a bunch of different color, music blaring through the speakers.
"I guess we better get going now huh?" Jaime hooked his arm into mine and we put on our mask. "Ready?"
"Ready as i'll ever be."
-Jaime POV-
The place was massive. It was filled with a bunch of expensive looking lights and decor. Lightes draped from the ceiling and flowers petals were also falling from the sky. Weird. Tiffany was gripping onto my arm really tight. I can tell she was nervous from all the body heat she was producing. And for someone who had fire pumping through her body, she was getting really hot.
