Chapter 7

I was stunned at the fact that blue wanted to come lay with me of all people me I could have sworn she hated me.

Bey:"so what's up are you ok?"

Blue:"yea everything's fine."

Bey:"so do you not hate me anymore?"

Blue:"o no I still hate you."

Bey:"o ok.

Blue:"just not as much as before."

Even thought that was still an insult I will accept it because we're making progress and that's all I asked for.

Bey:"well go ahead and get some rest it's been a long day."

Blue:"I should be telling you that."

I chuckled because we've both had a long day today I don't know what I'm going to do with myself I guess I'll go to the studio tomorrow.

The next morning I woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs the kind my mamma used to fix I opened my eyes and blue was gone.I decided to get up and go check on the girls. I walked into rains room and they weren't in there but I heard laughter coming from the kitchen.I walked down the steps and saw what every mother wants to see my girls were leaning across the bar laughing blue was in the kitchen cooking and rain was sitting at a bar chair laughing her face off.

Bey:"what's so funny?"

They both looked up at me and stopped laughing.Then they looked back at each other and started laughing again.

Rain:"nothing mom nothing at all."

I went to go sit down at the table as did rain.Blue came back with the food and we said grace and started eating.I love my mammas food and it's been a while since I've had it so I was going full force.Then I heard the girls start laughing uncontrollably.I looked up at them and blue was on the floor crying and rain was about to pee in her pants.

Bey:"what is so funny?"

They just kept laughing so I waited until they got themselves together.

Rain:"before you came down here blue said that grandma taught her how to cook your favorite foods.This is your favorite breakfast so grandma told blue that you would always like shove the whole plate down your throat and I didn't believe her because you never eat like that but now I do."

Blue:"mama Tina never lies."

Bey:"that's what y'all laughing about really I stopped eating to hear that."

I focused my attention back in my plate and continued eating when a thought crossed my mind.

Bey:"where is Karmen?"

Rain:"untie Kelly came and picked her up cause they had something to do before church starts."

Bey:"ok."

Then the doorbell rang I looked at the girls and they looked t me.

Bey:"we're you guys expecting anyone?"

Rain:"no."

Blue:"I don't know anyone so no."

I got up and walked to the door and looked out the peep hole and saw Jay standing there.

RAIN POV

We knew who was at the door it was my father.I have been trying to get them back together since they divorced but I can't do it alone.Blue convinced me to call dad and tell him that mom still loved him and things just weren't the same I hope this turns out well.I continued sitting at the table as I ate when I noticed blue got up and peeped her head into the living room.

Blue:"what are you doing just sitting there dont you want to see too?"

I got up and peeped my head into the living room. The conversation seemed to be going being that they were talking without hollering and yelling at each other.I looked at blue and she was smiling at me.

Rain:"it's working sis it's working!"

Blue:"shhhh shhh I know know lets see what's happening."

We looked back and they facial expressions had changed into anger then they looked over into the kitchen.Blue and I ran and sat down and started eating again when they came into the kitchen.

Bey:"What an amazing surprise your father showed up to the door."

I got up and pretended I didn't call him and tell him to come by.

Rain:"aww daddy!"

I ran to him and gave him a hug but he just put his hand out and stopped me.

Bey:"and he was saying things like I still love him and that our house isn't the same without him where did he get an idea like that?"

Blue:"I don't know."

Bey:"cut the bullshit I know y'all called him and told him but I wanted to see if you were going to tell me the truth and you didn't so rain upstairs now and get the belt."

Rain:"mommy no I'm sorry please no."

Bey:"upstairs now and you too blue."

I looked over at blue and she looked up at mommy.

Blue:"you can't whoop me I'm 15."

Bey:"get upstairs now!"

She got up and followed me upstairs.

Bey:"and don't go in the same room and don't put in anymore clothes."

We got to the top of the stairs and blue pulled me into my room.

Blue:"why are you crying?"

Rain:"cause I hate getting whooping as from my mom?"

Blue:"have you ever got a whopping from mamma Tina?"

Rain:"you mean grandma.....yea but moms are way worse."

Blue started crying now too because grandma Tina is a devil when she gives whooping a so mamma is a mythical creature who kills people through whoppings.

Rain:"go before she cat he's us in the same room and whatever you don't don't put on more clothes."

Blue POV

I left rains room and went into my room and put on some sweat pants like 4 pair and a couple sweaters she can't hurt me that bad with this many layers on right.I sat patiently awaiting rom her to come through with a belt and best me I started crying when I thought about mamma Tina's whoppings and rain saying beys were worse.Im going to die here in this huge house and no ones going to know.

Bey POV

Im going to beat the shit out of them for lying to me to my face twice but I'm glad they did what they did me and jay are going out Tuesday afternoon.I got up the stairs after I let Jay out the house and made my way to blues room.She was sitting on her bed praying I guess but she had on more clothes.So she lied to me twice talked back to me and didn't listen twice she's going to die.

Bey:"I thought I told you not to put on any more clothes."

Blue:"y-y-yes you did."

Bey:"well ok your just going to get whooped in every layer than."

Blue POV

Did she just say every layer o my father God pray for me y'all I'm about to die for real.
