Today was the big day.

I was finally turning twenty-one and there was so many things I had to do!

First I was meeting Denise for a celebratory breakfast, she flew out yesterday with Louis and Lincoln but I was working all day and didn't get a chance to swing by and say hi to her. She was coming to my dinner but the breakfast would be far more intimate.

After that I had to go shopping because due to lack of time I still hadn't found the perfect birthday outfit so Val offered to tag along with me seeing as how she was the only female company I had around these days. Not that I wasn't grateful.

And after that I had to go get my hair and nails done because running around LA for hours looking for models who are more or less high on drugs isn't an easy jobs. Thanks Nasty Gal.

Then finally I would be party ready. That's if I made it through the day of course.

Like I said early my first stop was breakfast and even though Denise offered to pay she let me pick the place and of course I picked Toast, the most amazing brunch place in BH.

"Abigail!" She gasped as I walked in then stood up and showered me with love. I missed her so much it actually brought me nothing but bliss when I was finally reunited with her.

"God I've missed you" I groaned in her hair and as I pulled away I screamed really loud which caused people to stare.

"Hush up!" Gemma laughed as she yanked me into a hug. "Who the bloody hell said you could cut your hair shorter?"

"A nun at the Vatican" I said and it was far from a lie, bless sister Catherine.

"Oh lord you've been missed" she giggled pulling away. "I'm you're birthday surprise by the way"

"The best one yet, I thought you couldn't make it" I said as I felt arms wrap around my torso. My lovely boy was holding on tight. "What the fuck stop growing!"

Denise didn't scold me for cursing at her youngest boy but I apologized anyways as I squeezed Louis tight.

"Almost your height" he said and he wasn't lying, even In hella he reached me well.

"God I'm so happy now" I clapped as we sat down, me next to Louis because I always need my right hand at my right side.

"At first I couldn't make it, terrible timing but I honestly couldn't miss it plus I was starting to get separation anxiety from you" Gemma informed me.

"Right and luckily that God awful son of mine paid for her ticket" Denise joked.

"How nice of him" I said smiling big.

You would think this would be weird but it wasn't. I grew so close to them when I was with him it would be weird if seeing them wasn't the highlight of my year. They were the family I didn't really have and I had them and losing him didn't mean I had to lose them as well.

Although I will admit we did go some time without talking but blame the terrible service in Sri Lanka for that. Once I reached a more civil area I called Gemma and we talked then Denise and it was like I was never gone.

Neither of them ever brought up Matty which was by far the best thing ever, at the time of course. Now I felt okay with talking to them about him and it seemed today would be the day that would happen.

"I was skeptical to come, I knew you and him weren't talking at all but he assured me the other week that you've come to a good space" Denise said after we ordered.
