"Are we just going to sit here?" She smirked batting her fluffy eyelashes, rubbing her thumb around the rim of her wine glass.

"I need a minute" I said stunned by the words that had recently left her mouth.

His secret. His death.

"It's a lot to take it but you can't back away now Abigail" she said softly reaching for my hand.

"But I don't think I can do it" I said shaking my head. "I don't think I can save him this time"

*Five hours earlier*

It was pretty easy to arrange this trip.

I told Jamie I had a leasing issues back in LA that if I didn't handle immediately would screw me over in the long run.

He then hopped on a plane to come watch his boys while I hopped on a plane to come see the girl herself once again.

It wasn't hard to contact the elusive girl again. They all had her number, I specifically got it from Matty's phone. I called. She said she was busy but would be in LA for just this day, I assured her I would be on the first flight in.

I didn't tell her why but I'm sure she knew why.

When I told them I was leaving the last thing George said to be was don't forget all that we've done for you.

Which is pretty ironic seeing as how messy my life has been since I met them but I still also get what he means.

When I landed in gorgeous LA I headed for my hotel. I was gonna stay at the apartment but the hotel was just more convenient.

Halsey had meetings all morning but invited me over to her place at night. I agreed because I needed answers and we left it at that.

But I couldn't be in LA and waste perfectly good hours trapped in a hotel room. So I called Val but she wasn't the one to show up at my door.

"I'm actually offended you didn't call me first" Calvin sneered as he just walked in my room. No invitation at all.

"How did you know?" I asked but I knew the answer to that all too well.

"Did we leave on bad terms is that why you didn't call? Or is there a certain person in your life now?" He asked tossing himself down on my bed.

"I was going to call" I assured him. "I just didn't call you first"

"But you're still single right?" He smirked.

"Yeah why?" I asked. He just shrugged then grabbed my hand and yanked me down on his lap. When he pressed his lips onto mine I actually cringed.

"Calvin" I groaned pulling away. "I'm here for one day"

"That's enough time" he grinned the kissed me again. "I missed you A"

"And I missed you" I giggled against his lips.

"Why the sudden trip?" He asked and his charming attitude of course came with malicious intentions.

"Wouldn't you like to know" I scoffed prying myself off his lap.

"It has something to do with the rockstar then?" He smirked.

"I'm visiting an old friend" I shrugged walking over to the mini fridge to grab a water.

"Don't bullshit me Ab, what's wrong?" He asked and his serious face was on.
