Chapter 18- Doctor

"Vincent, can you stop doing that please?" I am reading my patient's background and he's annoying the hell out of me.

"Come on, Yllena. Loosen up, you're like an old lady." Saad niya bago kunin ang binabasa ko at inalalayan ako pagtayo.

"We're going out. Dress up, Mi amore." Nakangising usal niya bago lumabas sa pintuan ng bahay ko. Napabuntong hininga nalang ako at walang nagawa kundi ang pumayag.

I also think I really need a break. Wala rin naman pumapasok sa isipan ko.

Humarap ako sa salamin and I can't help but to remember everything in the past.

I tried so hard para makaalis ako at mapapunta sa kinalalagyan ko ngayon.

After the incident, I begged Don Augustus to send me away so I can live my life. Ayoko ng magtago at magmukhang mahina. I don't want to be a Damsel in Distress surrounded by bad people.

When I got his permission, I flew here in Switzerland and continue my studies until I get my doctorate degree.

He insisted to give me bodyguards and such so they can protect me from all odds but I refuse.

It's impossible na makaalis sa Mafia but then I told them that I was never a part of it from the first place.

I did everything that I can to change my life. I changed everything even my name.

I am now Yllena Carmilla Blake; A Doctor specifically, a surgeon.

Vincent Revalonte was my colleague in Martial Arts. He's a special agent and working in some private sectors of the government.

We're not really close before but because of unwanted incidents we became close. He's like a hero in my story, he saved my life from someone who tried to ruin it again.

We're not living in the same place. He's my neighbour pero madalas na nandito sa bahay ko. Well, good thing because he's the one who cooks for me and someone who always reminds me to take care of myself.

He started courting me 3 years ago but we can't be together. Although he's the one who help me to stand up on my own feet. Our worlds are far different from each other.

I cannot forget the fact that I am a Mafia Boss heiress and he's an agent, task to shoot down those Mafia.

I wear a simple white dress for our Dinner tonight. It's been a month since we last went out. Well because kagagaling niya lang sa isang mission.

"I won't ask what you did when I am not around because for sure you're just busy with your patients and books, Nerdy." Saad niya bago lagyan ng Steak ang aking pinggan.

"How about you? How's your mission? Is it in the US again?"

"Nope. This time it's Spain. Although we did not caught those Big bosses, we caught some of their underlings which are under investigation right now." I actually don't know why he's very open to me. He's giving me informations that are confidential for sure.

"We confiscated a large amount of firearms and drugs along the Algeciras Port."

"Vince, aren't you afraid that I might spill those informations?" Curious na tanong ko sa kaniya at sa napakaraming pagkakataon, tinawanan niya na naman ako.

"Yllena Carmilla, how many times did you ask me that kind of question? Again, I am sure those informations are useless to you. You're a Doctor unless you have a patient who's a Mafioso which I doubt that you will have." Nagtatawang sagot niya at nagpatuloy kami sa pagkain.

"It's your day off tomorrow, right?" Tanong niya habang nagdadrive siya pauwi sa Apartment namin.

"Yup. But I would be studying some rare cases of my patients."

"Why don't you file a leave? Let's go to Bali or Hawaii for a vacation, some fresh air you know. It's my treat. " Napairap nalang ako sa sinabi niya.

"You know that I can't do that. I cannot leave my patients alone." Minsan napapaisip ako kung special agent ba talaga siya. He's more of a business man palagi nalang nag-alok ng vacation.

"Why don't you go with Anastasia or Helga?"

Anastasia is his ex na naghahabol pa rin sa kaniya hanggang ngayon and Helga is his colleague. She's a special agent also based in Germany.

"Seriously Carmilla? Anastasia? Hell no. I want to relax, I've been too much stressed this passed few weeks. I need a fresh air not the polluted one."

Natatawa nalang ako sa sagot. Sa tuwing nababanggit ko si Anastasia palagi niya akong tinatawag sa second name ko.

"I'll think about it, Vince. Thank you for the Dinner and for the ride. Love lots and good night." Pagpapaalam ko ng maihatid niya na ako sa Apartment ko.

"At your service, Yllena. Good Night."

I cannot sleep and I can't help but to think about of the condition of Don Augustus. He's like my real father all these times.

Ang balita ko ay hindi na siya pumupunta sa mga transactions doon nalang sa mga malalaki at importante.

Alexander was like the COO of the Mafia. Siya na ang naghahandle ng lahat ng operations and transactions ng Mafia. It became stronger but also deadlier. Alexander was more merciless than Don Augustus, he wants to polish everything. Pinapapatay niya agad ang lahat ng nagkakamali.

That was 2 years ago.

I cut my connections to Kaius and Don Alfredo after the incident. For sure, hinahanap nila ako hanggang ngayon but I plead to Don Augustus to do everything so I can have a new life here.

I reach for my phone and call Don Augustus.

"Hello?" His voice never change at all.

"Pa.." Tawag ko sa kaniya. Since I got here, I decided to take him as my real Father after everything he did for me.

"Adelaide?! How are you, principessa? I missed you so damn much hija. When will you come back? It's been 7 years since you left. Don't you miss your Father? Oh my princess. Please come back. " Napangiti nalang ako sa sinaad niya.

I indeed missed my Father.

"Pa, I will come back not now but soon."

"That's what you told me years ago but you're still there." Binalewala ko na lamang iyon dahil sigurado ako na naiintindihan niya naman ang sitwasyon ko sa ngayon.

"By the way, how are you? How's your condition? Did you take your medicine regularly?"

"Of course. Just go home so I won't need a personal nurse here. You'll be the one who'll take care of me."

"Pa, I've met your nurse personally and she's good that's why I recommend her to you."

"Hija, I am not pressuring you but soon maybe months after this they'll be able to find where you are right now and before that you should come back here so I can protect you."

Konting kwentuhan pa at nagpaalam na rin ako. Don Augustus never saved my number because usually kapag tumatawag ako sa kaniya nagbabago na rin agad ako ng number.

Kahit si Alexander ay hindi alam kung nasaan ako ngayon at hindi lingid sa kaalaman namin ay pinapahanap niya pa rin ako hanggang ngayon.
