Chapter 21- Vincent

Kinabukasan ay pinuntahan ko si Zane sa Apartment na tinutuluyan niya. I wonder how much did he offer to bought this Mini Apartment.

Kung hindi ko alam na Mafia Boss siya aakalain ko na normal na businessman lang siya.

He's wearing an eyeglasses that made him look more stern and hot at the same time.

"Have you ate your breakfast? Nagpadala ako ng paborito mo." Casual na saad niya. As if alam niya ang paborito ko, we didn't even have enough time to know each other very well.

"He's mine, Zane. Don't you ever dare lay a finger on him." Napatigil siya sa pagkain dahil sa sinabi ko.

"As far as I know he's a private agent who works secretly to the government?"

Hindi na ako magtataka kung paano niya nalaman ang mga bagay na iyon. He's a powerful man after all.

"He's one of the best in his field, right? One of the Elite's officer of the government. He did many undercover and he's the one who captured the goods around Spain, good thing it's not that big."

"He's our enemy, Catina. One of our biggest enemy."

"Shut it. I am not like you. He's my friend and when I say he's mine, take it as a warning. Cause if you dare to harm him, I'll destroy what you have right now."

Tumalikod na ako sa kaniya dahil ayoko ng makita pa ang pagmumukha niya.

Pinapaalala niya lang sa akin ang pagkakataon kung saan tinutukan niya ako ng baril at kung hindi dumating si Vincent matagal na akong patay.

"You're a Limerence. You cannot escape from it."

"Yeah, I am a Limerence. That's why I am also capable of ruining you, your life, and your precious f*cking business."

"I'll give you a month to think about my offer. You'll come with me or I'll stay with you here and ruin everything you've founded."

Hindi ko alam kung nakakapag-isip pa ba ako ngayon ng tama dahil sa mga nangyayari.

Just the thought of sharing the same village with him disgusts me.

Hindi ako ngayon pupunta sa Hospital dahil may medical mission kami sa Gimmelwald.

It is a farming community surrounded by fields of hay and majestic mountains. The village is so tiny, there’s no local school; students must travel to Lauterbrunnen.

When I checked the condition of the children here in Gimmelwald, it saddened me cause most of them have hypothermia because of the temperature.

Although the health care is at very high quality it is also expensive. That's why I've devoted myself to give free consultation quarterly.

Nag-ring ang cellphone ko kaya kinailangan ko na pansamantalang itigil ang ginagawa ko.

"I'm on a Medical Mission, Vincent. What is it?"

"Someone looks suspicious in front of your Apartment. Is someone bugging you from the past few days?"

Napabuntong hininga ako dahil sa sinabi niya.

"Let's talk about that when I came back." At nagpaalam na agad ako para maituloy ko na ang aking trabaho.

We're staying here for about 3 days so we can have enough time to check most of the people especially the Senior Citizens and the children.

It's our second day at hindi pa kami halos nangangalahati sa dami ng mga pasyente.

I really want to stay much longer but my schedule cannot handle it.

"Give him chlorthalidone for high blood pressure." Pag-uutos ko sa nurse at ipinaubaya na sa kaniya iyong pasyente.

Nagbigay kami ng mga libreng gamot pagkatapos ng consultations para bukas ay mabilis nalang ang pag-alis.

I am arranging my things when one of the children approached me.

"Do you have a medicine for infants? My sister has a flu. Can you check on her?"

"Where's your house?" Inalalayan niya ako hanggang sa makarating kami sa kanilang bahay.

Nalaman ko na 8 months old pa lamang ang sanggol at sobrang taas ng lagnat niya.

"She has a Roseola, it come down with a high fever, congestion, coughing, and, later, a patchy rash that starts on the chest and spreads, for the mean time I'll give you Ibuprofen but if after 3 days and her condition didn't change please bring her immediately to her pediatrician."

We're on our way back to Berne when I received a call from Rayleigh.

"I'm on my way home, is there a problem?"

"Vincent was shot and he's asking for your presence." Agad akong naalerto dahil sa ibinalita ni Radleigh kaya nag-request ako sa driver na baka pwedeng bilisan ang pagdadrive.

Nang makarating ako sa Hospital ay agad kong hinanap ang room ni Vincent.

"We're still investigating if this has a connection to the Mafia's. But this is a very bold move for them." Narinig ko saad ni Vlad.

"Have you contacted the CIA or the FBI?"

"We haven't but as soon as you are discharge, we will have a meeting about this." Sagot ni Mikael.

"Reid is still in the crime scene but I don't think he found any evidence about this."

I've known pretty much of his colleagues dahil ipinakilala ako ni Vincent sa kanila.

Natigil sila sa pag-uusap ng makitang nandito na ako sa loob.

"How are you? Who's your attending Doctor?"

"It's Doctor Felomina, Dra. Blake." Nakangiting sagot ni Vincent bago ako niyakap.

Tiningnan ko ang balikat niya kung saan siya tinamaan. Hindi ko maiwasang magalit ng sobra kay Zane. He just crossed the line I've drawn.

"We're going, Revalonte." Pagpapaalam ni Vlad bago nakipagbeso sa akin at tinapik si Vincent.

"How did this happened?" He cannot be shot without him noticing it.

"I am at the Grocery when someone in a black suit targeted and shoot me immediately." Pagpapaliwanag niya sa akin.

Black suit?

"Are they familiar to you?" Umiling lamang siya at kinuha ang apple na nasa side table.
