Chapter 1

Miranda pov

"Dan, Kayla wanna go pick daddy up at the airport" i called from the front door, dan and kayla ran out of their room and down the stairs "slow down guys" she chuckled, for 2 three year olds they run pretty fast. "Daddy's coming home today!" Kayla clapped and grabbed her jacket from me and dan did the same. "All ready?" I asked as they slipped on their shoes. They both nodded like crazy and dan opened the door and ran out to the car. Kayla ran after him and they both waited by the doors of the car "hurry mommy we're going to be late!" Dan called as i walked to the car "okay, okay im coming" i smiled and unlocked the car. Both kids got in and did up their buckles on their car seats. "Everyone good" i buckled up and started the car "lets go" kayla giggled from her seat. I smiled and backed out of our drive way.

When i got the kids out of the car they both held my hands and started pulling me to the doors of the airport. "Calm down guys" i paused and chuckled "the plane hasnt even landed yet" i smiled. When we got inside both kids let go of my hands and ran. "Auntie megan!" They both yelled as they got to megan. I jogged after the kids and as i got to megan all three kids -tristian,kayla,dan- were sitting on the chairs waiting anxiously for their dads "woah miranda you look dead" megan chuckled "ugh i know ive gotten barely any sleep this tour" i ran a hand through my hair "got any cover up?" I asked and megan pulled some out of her purse, "your a life saver" i thankfully took the makeup and started to apply it "why arent you sleeping?" She asked "the kids sleep fine, only a few nightmares now and then and they come sleep in our bed. So its not them keeping me up. Its just me not being able to sleep alone" i sighed "oh hun" she smiled "whattttt" i smirked "mike's told me that josh has been having a harder time sleeping this tour too" she smiled. I chuckled "mommy can we get candy?" Kayla asked "ill go get some, stay with aunt megan" i looked at the kids "can tristian have some?" I asked megan "yeah if he wants i guess" she turned towards her son who was nodding his head like crazy. "Well ill be back soon" i chuckled and walked to the vending machine. I got four bags of mike&ikes and walked back to megan and the kids "think fast" i tossed megan the extra bag i got as i handed each kid a bag "did you get one?" She asked opening her bag and eating some "no, not hungry" i shrugged "miranda" she shot me a questioning look "what?" I asked "have you been eating" she asked just loud enough for me to hear "yes i have actually" i answered "are you lying" she asked "no im not, i am eating its just that i dont want any candy" i said, she didnt look convinced. "Im not doing that anymore i havent done it since before i was pregnant with the kids and you know that" i stated "you better be eating or josh isnt going to be happy" she looked away. And there goes my good mood. She knows whenever someone says that to me i feel guilty even if i didnt do anything. I sighed and went to sit beside kayla "want some?" She handed me a handful of her candy "thanks sweety" i smiled and ate one of the colourfull candies. Megan looked back at us and smiled slightly while tossing a few of the candies in her mouth. "When should nicole and kim be coming?" I asked eating more of my handfull of candy "anytime now" megan said just as nicole and kim run in the doors looking around frantically, when they saw us they fastwalked/jogged over to us. "Speak of the devils and they shall appear" i chuckled as they run up to us out of breath "the plane" kim said out of breath "umm what?" Megan chuckled "it... It landed" nicole tried to calm her breathing. I stood up from beside the kids and waited to see my blue and blonde haired douche walk through the door. Mike came in first, followed by ian then matt. But not josh. After they guys hugged their girls i spoke up "wheres josh?" I questioned "he didnt call you?" Matt asked, i shook my head "hes started driving up last night cause he thought it'd be faster than the plane" he explained "well obviously it wasnt" i looked at my shoes and messed with my sleeve. "He'll be back soon probably" ian said "probably..." I looked at the kids "wheres daddy?" Kayla asked, i looked towards the guys for help "hes coming home tonight, he just had to... Umm... He just had to stop for lunch" mike thought i mouthed 'thanks' and he nodded in responce. "So... He isnt home" dan frowned "not yet hun" i gave a small smile trying not to look sad infront of the kids.

"Text us when you get home" matt hugged me before we all went our seperate ways "will do" i smiled and me and the kids went on our way to our car.

"When will daddy be home?" Kayla asked as we turned the corner to our street "soon baby girl" i looked at her from the rear view mirror.
