Chapter 21

Josh pov

I woke by the sound of Kayla's voice "daddy. My friend is going to be here soon. Put a shirt on" she giggled i looked to my right and saw Kayla laying beside me looking at me "you have a friend" i smirked "your mean" she said trying not to smile "how am i the mean one? Your making me put a shirt on" i pouted as i sat up. "Here" Kayla pulled one of my shirts out from behind her back and whipped it at me "careful there" i chuckled and slipped the blue v neck on. I stood up and looked at Kayla "do i look okay" i smiled "you look handsome" she stood up on the bed i picked her up "well you picked a nice shirt" i chuckled as she laid her head on my shoulder. "It goes with your pants" she motioned to my checkered blue pj pants "it does, does it" i chuckled "yup" she smiled "so, when does your friend get here?" I asked as i walked down the stairs "soon" she smiled even wider "Kayla i told you to let dad sleep" Miranda sighed from the kitchen table as we walked in "i want him to meet Jackie though" I set Kayla down and walked over to the table. Kayla ran off downstairs to where I'm guessing Dan is. "Whatcha looking at?" I asked as i watched Miranda scroll on the computer "houses" she stated and moved the computer so we both could see it. "Have you found any you like?" I asked "two. But you need to look now" she chuckled and stood up "where are you going?" I asked "since Kayla has her friend coming over and Dan doesn't i told him id kick his ass at mario cart" she smiled as she walked down the stairs. Soon after Miranda left Kayla came back up "SHE HERE!" She screamed as the door bell rang. I stood up and walked to the door, well was pushed to the door by Kayla. I smiled as i opened the door "KAYLA!" A little girl yelled "JACKIE!" Kayla screamed and they hugged each other. "Kayla's dad!" Jackie's father joked "Jackie's dad!" I laughed "I'm Ethan, nice to meet you" Ethan extended his arm "Josh, nice to meet you too" i chuckled as the girls ran upstairs into Kayla's room. "I guess thats all the goodbye i get, so i'll be back at 4 to pick her up" Ethan chuckled "alright, also. Goodbye" i said goodbye dramatically. Ethan chuckled "see you in a few hours" he laughed and walked to his cars.
