Chapter 25

Josh pov -april 25th-

"Daddy watch!" Kayla called as she slid down the fire pole. I brought the kids to the park because Miranda is sleeping and they were being to loud. "Woah looks like fun" i chuckled "it is!" She exclaimed as my phone started to ring.

"Hello" i answered

"Hey Josh" i heard Miranda's voice

"Hey, your awake" i chuckled

"Yeah, um where are you?" She asked

"I took the kids to the park near Mikes house" i said

"Good, thats where i thought you-" she stopped talking and i heard her take a sharp breath "thats where i thought you were" she finished

"Are you alright" i stood up from the bench i was on and started to find the kids

"Uh-hu. Just take the kids to Mikes. Megan's going to watch them. Its time" she spoke quickly.

"I'll be home soon. Umm.... Uhhh slow breaths" i said then moved the phone from my face "Kayla, Dan we have to go" i called and the kids stopped playing "your going to uncle Mike and aunt Megan's house" i said and they both ran to me. Once they got over to me i placed the phone back on my ear.

"Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Fucking dammit put the phone back to your fucking ear." She cussed

"Im back" i said as me and the kids walked across the street to Mikes house.

"I called Megan. They know your coming. Their in the backyard."

"Okay. I'll be home as soon as i can" i said

"Drive careful" she sighed

"I will, we're at Megan's. I'm going to hang up then hurry home" i said as Mike and Megan fast walked around the side of the house.

"Kay bye" Miranda said and i heard her grabbing keys

"Love you"

"Love you too" she said then hung up.

"Thank you guys" i said fast as Mike told the kids that there was some snacks for them on the back table "no problem. Call us when she has them" Megan smiled "will do. Bye guys" i turned around and heard them both say bye.

-Miranda pov-

"Why couldn't you have waited till he got home" i stated and looked down at my belly. My hospital bag is by the door; where its been for a week. Thank the lord Mike and Megan only live about two blocks away. "Maybe i should wait outside" i thought aloud and stood up. I started to walk over to the door and once i was almost there the door shot open and Josh ran in. "Oh my god" he came to my side and wrapped his arm around my back and helped me to the door. I slid on my shoes and he picked up the bag then we walked to the car. Josh helped me into the passenger seat then he ran to his side. Once we were down the road on our way to the hospital another contraction hit, "bloody fuck" i groaned and gripped the arm rest. "Breath" Josh reached over and put his hand on top of mine. "I am breathing" i hissed. "Okay..." He said cautiously as we turned a corner.

"New idea. Lets talk about baby names" he said looking at me as we stop at a red light. "You say boys. I say girls" i said "Brandon" he stated "Jenna" i said as another contraction happened. I looked at the time as i dug my nails into the arm rest. "15" i breathed "15?" Josh questioned and the light turned green "contractions are 15 minutes apart" i leaned my head back and took deep breaths. "We're almost there" Josh said and rubbed the back of my hand with his thumb. "I really hope they don't take as long to come as the twins did" i gave a small chuckle and placed my free hand on my belly.

"God fucking dammit get them out" i hissed. 6 hours in. Kayla and Dan took 10 hours, i swear to god if these two take that long I'm going to pass out. "The doctor will be back soon" Josh moved some hair out of my face. I shot him a small smile as Dr.Klay walked in. "How are you doing?" She asked me as she sat on her stool and looked at me over my belly "i want them out" i gave a small chuckle. "Okay. Well, I'm going to check and see if we can start to push" she stated. "Well. Your command is coming true is about time to push, we just need to prep the room" Dr. Klay said and the nurses and her started to prepare the room. "Thank god" i gave a sigh of relief. "We still haven't picked out names" Josh chuckled as he was handed a blue suit. "We'll figure it out soon" i laid my head back and took slow breaths trying to gain energy for this. "You can do this" Josh held my hand and gave it a squeeze. "I'll try not to hurt you" i squeezed his hand as i had another contraction. "Okay darling, i want you to push" dr Klay said. I did as i was told and a painful scream escaped my lips. I squeezed Josh's hand "And rest" dr Klay said. I took the 'rest' then she told me to push again. "Fuck" i hissed as i pushed. "One more big push" dr Klay said. I took breaths and pushed, another scream escaping. A minute later i heard a cry. I sighed and leaned back. "Its a girl" one of the nurses smiled "your doing great" Josh moved my sweaty bangs out of my face and kissed my forehead.

"Okay, its time for the boy" dr Klay said. "Oh good lord" i sat back up "you can do it" Josh encouraged me and held my hand again. "Alright... Ready... Push" she instructed and i pushed. I groaned and squeezed Josh's hand. "And rest" i let up my breath. She told me to push again and i did, as i did i started to feel light headed. "Okay Miranda. One more push" dr Klay said. I breathed in then pushed as hard as i could. I heard a small cry and fell back. "Miranda" Josh looked at me "why is she so pale?" He asked dr Klay. "Sir, we're gunna need you to leave the room" i heard a nurse say as my eyes slowly shut.

-Josh pov-

"What no i cant leave" i said worried as i watched Miranda's eyes close. "Sir please" a nurse came over and and put her hand on my shoulder. I sighed and reluctantly left. I don't even know whats going on.

I slowly walked into a waiting room where my parents and Sara are waiting. "She had them" i smiled "hows she doing?" Sara asked "they kicked me out of the room" i sighed and sat beside her "what happened?" Mom asked worried "i don't know, Miranda was really pale and then they kicked me out." I explained.
