Chapter 17

Miranda pov -few days before tour starts-

So i am now about one month pregnant and i have a very small, very unnoticeable -if i wear a loose shirt- bump. Me and Josh are leaving for a doctors appointment soon. Then tonight, we are planning on telling the kids about the baby.

"Well before we wrap up today, i have a question for both of you" Dr Klay spoke as she looked at her pad of paper then back at me and Josh "do twins run in either of your guys' family?" She asked "not mine" Josh said "I'm not a hundred percent sure" i said nervously "okay" she wrote some stuff down on her paper. "That is all i have to say, any questions or concerns?" She set her pad down on her lap and looked at me and Josh. "I don't have any, do you?" I looked at Josh "i think I'm good for now" he smiled "okay then, i will see you both in a few weeks" the doctor stood up "well, probably just me" i said awkwardly "oh whys that?" She asked "I'm leaving for tour in a few days" Josh sighed "oh, okay. Well have fun on tour, and i'll see you Miranda in a few weeks" Dr Klay smiled and led us out of the room.

"Ready to tell them?" Josh asked as we walked into the house hand in hand. "As ready as i'll ever be" i sighed "hey guys" Kim walked downstairs from one of the kids room "hey Kim thanks for watching them" i smiled "no problem, they were great. I had fun" she chuckled "so you guys going to tell them now?" She asked. Josh nodded as the kids came running down the stairs "i'll just leave you four alone, good luck" Kim slipped on her shoes and hugged the kids "bye aunt Kim!" Both kids smiled "bye kiddos" Kim smiled then waved bye to me and Josh then left. "Hey guys come sit" Josh and i walked over to the couch and the kids ran and jumped onto it as we sat on the coffee table in front. "You guys know how moms been getting sick lately" Josh said and they both nodded "are you okay?" Dan looked at me worried. "Im fine hun" i smiled "then why did you go to the doctors?" Kayla asked. "well, we have something important to tell you" Josh smiled at me "you'r going to have a little brother or sister" i smiled "really!" Kayla smiled widely as Dan just sat quietly looking at me and Josh in shock.

"Josh can you grab that?" I asked as the phone started ringing as i finished loading the dishwasher. "Hello" i heard Josh answer the phone "umm okay" he walked into the kitchen and held the phone out for me "its Dr Klay" he spoke as i grabbed the phone

"Hello"

"Miranda, i have some... News. To share with you." She said

"Okay" i said nervously

"Twins, are very common in your family. Your mothers father's mom was a twin, your mothers father was a twin as were his other siblings, your mother is a twin, and you were a twin then you had your twins" she said

"I wasn't a twin" i said and Josh looked up from what he was doing and looked at me

"Well, i don't know how to say this. But when you were born, your twin passed away a few hours after due to heart difficulties" she explained. I just stared straight in shock. "Miranda?" Dr Klay said

"Hmm sorry" i said

"There is a good chance that you are going to have twins again"

"But there is a chance i wont. Right?" I asked

"Theres a 80/20 chance that your having twins" she said

"O-okay" i stuttered

"I'll let you go, but before i do. Prepare for twins" she gave a slight chuckle at the end

"Okay, thank you"

"Anytime. Bye now"

"Bye" i gave a shaky breath as i hung up.

"What did she say?" Josh asked as he came to my side "before i tell you i want to say something..." I paused "we're going to have to move" i looked at him. He thought for a minute "don't we have enough room here?" He asked "she said plan for twins..." I gave a nervous smile "t-twins" his eyes widened. How are we going to take care of two babies plus Dan and Kayla? How am i going to be able to take care of four kids while Josh is touring? How are the kids going to handle moving? "Miranda" Josh pulled me into his chest "don't cry baby" he rubbed my back as i noticed his shirt getting wet. "How are we going to handle four kids" i cried into his chest "we'll make it through this, we have our family to help" he said and i felt tears hitting my head as he kissed it. I pulled away and looked up at him. "Why are you crying?" I sniffled "i hate seeing you cry" he gave a small chuckle and wiped away his tears and i wiped away mine.

We sat in silence, both lost in our own thoughts. "You know... You still have to pack" i sighed "i don't want to" he pouted "the sooner you finish the more time you'll have with me and the kids before you go" i said "i'll go pack" he said and drug his feet all the way up to our room. I gave a small smile as i made my way outside to the deck. I sat down on a step and placed my hand over my bump. "Hey little guy or guys. You cant hear me yet but hi" i looked at my hand as i spoke. We're ready for this. Right?
