27.A Step Ahead

( I finally got out Minecraft Diaries and working on Reader X Character book. But I'm glad to finally get to work on this book! )

Lilly's POV

I was pacing.back and forth but slowly. I was pained by everything and knowing that it circles around me doesnt help.
"Listen Lilly..." someone starts.
I turn and see Garroth.
Then I face toward the sky again.
"I know that this is a lot to take in... But did you get anything?" he asked.
"Just a small memory of me and Katelyn." I say. He nods.
I sighed.
Garroth gets closer to me. "Lilly.... Every time I see you... You look like... Like you have something on your mind. More like someone...." He says. He looked hurt in a way. It was true.
I don't know why but everytime I Do something I end up getting memories of him. Dipper.
"It is someone isn't it..." He adds.
I sighed shutting my eyes tight.
"Y-yeah... Sort of...." I stutter.
He sighed.
"Well I figured you would meet someone while away." he says. I nod.
"The thing is... I don't want to keep him in my head. The more I try and forget about him the more I realize... Ugh! It's so complicated! Why can't everything just give me a break?!" I say getting frustrated.
My mind was everywhere...
And I needed it to stay put.

"Why do you want to forget? Even more than you already have?" He asks.
"Because... Because... I. Don't. Know. It's all just a jumble of confusion! A jumble that I obviously can't untangle!" I say.
He sighs.
"W-well is it... Someone you l-love? Like... Relationship?" he asks.
"Not anymore... Or at least I thought. I want to get him out of my head..." I respond. I was almost in tears but I fought through trying not to cry.
"You always were One to be brave. You tried not to show tears. You stood up for almost anyone who was in trouble.
You even went around town, pretty much every inch of this place, checking on everyone."
He smiles.
"But you never really have thought to two things..." he pauses.
"Yourself... And love." he finishes silently.
I looked over to him to see him blushing. "...and It killed me and Laurence that you didn't get time to yourself. But you didn't care as long as everyone was safe and sound." He says.

I smirk. "Tomorrow... You and I are going to train. That is... If you are up to getting yourself back together?" He says after a while.
I thought about this.
Do I really want or need this?
"Yeah... Sure..." I say.
"I may have these powers but I Do want them out of my grasp.
They aren't ment for me.....
And I'm not ment for them..."
I add.
He nods.
I decided to go back in.
Right before I opened the door, Garroth grasp my hand.
I turned back toward him.

"Lilly i-- uh... I just... Wanted t-to know if..." He paused.
He looked nervous.
"... If you wanted me t-to walk you home?" He asked.
I raised an eyebrow at first at his nervousness.
"You don't half to but... Of you want... Sure." I say simply.
He nods and lets go.
I smirk and walked in and talked with everyone for a little while.
"....I think I'm gonna go hit the hay...." Dawn said.
I yawned getting tired.
I nod. "Me and Garroth are leaving I guess." I say.
Garroth walks over near me.

"Me too... I mean..
Garroth isn't walking me home but.... You know What I mean." Kaitlyn giggled.
Everyone except me, garroth, and Laurence left.
But we were next to leave.
"Well I guess we should take our leave." Garroth says.
Laurence looked a bit off but nodded.
I was concerned. But I guess that was who I was. Now and then.
Gosh...
I smirked at him trying to help a bit.
I walked out of the building with Garroth at my side.
"Your lucky I don't have night shift." he says as we stroll down the streets.
My hands were in my pocket.
"Yeah... By the way... Aren't you all a little bit too young to be head guard and... Guards in genral? I mean... Why do you even need guard's?" I asked.
He smirked.

"Well Laurence isn't head guard if that's what your implying. But we know of what lives in those woods. Especially at night.
That's why We start training at 8 years old. We have guard's... Which are pretty much like cops... Because it is required to keep this town alive.Although lately there hasn't been much going on..." He explains.

"So wait... You mean that place in my vision was...a training facility of some sort?" I asked.
He shrugs. "Depends. Describe it." he says.
"Well I was alone in some sort of cell and looking at weapons and then you as a child appeared. You looked mad." I say.

He sighs.
"Well for now lets leave that place as a training facility...hm?" He says. I nod.
"But that is where we first met." he adds.
I smile. "I figured since we gave out our introductions." I say. He chuckles.
Then we stop at my place.
"Well I guess this is.... See you later." I say. He nods and we say our goodbyes then he walks away.
I go inside and see Dante curled up. I smirk.
Then I run upstairs and pull out a piece of paper from my pocket of my sweatshirt.
I actually smiled seeing it was a photo of me and Mabel and Dipper.

I really did miss them but... I have business to attend to here.
I put the picture on my might stand and lay down.
I eventually fell deep asleep...

Dippers POV

We set out the very next day.
We went to the exact spot where I left her.
"This is gonna be SO MUCH FUN! ADVENTURE TIME!!!" she yelled.
I sighed.
I showed her the exact spot I left her at and she inspected it closely.
She looked around quietly.
"Well of you were paying attention... She went that way. I see dog and sneaker prints.
Thanks to my detective skills!" she says.
We followed the tracks until they stopped at.... Oh God no.... She couldn't have.... Please tell me....
"D-dipper.... This is.... Oh gosh no..." She was in a state of shock.

But then I rembered her ability.
"No shes not... That is survivable for her... Remember?" I explain. A sigh of relief came from both of us.
"Well then where did she go? Did she just turn into a ghost and walked somewhere else?" Mabel asked.
I roll my eyes. "Now that's a bit over the top don't you think.
She hasn't really been one to go over the top... Besides she doesn't even like having those powers. Why would she use them on purpose unless absolutely necessary." I say.
She shrugs.
"Listen Dipper... There is a chance that... She doesn't want to be found. And if we find her and that's the case then... I think we should let her be..." Mabel says. I was sort of surprised at her mature moment there.

"I-i guess... But not for too long because... She needs to go back to her home." I say. She nods and we searched around in the area finding nothing until i was ready to give up for today.

"Mabel I can't find anythi-- whoa!" I trip over something.
I look over from the ground and see a piece of blue material. The same material of Lilly's dress.
My eyes widen.
This was the first step to finding her...

XXX's POV

Now for the next step...
Getting her the memory chip...
"Be prepared to leave sister! Were going Lilly hunting tomorrow..." I say and I smirk watching her lay down...

( Now my guess is that by the time this chapter goes out that We will have officially hit...
