29. Follow the Leader pt. 1

( MERRY late CHRISTMAS Guys! )

Lilly's POV

Dipper and Mabel were staying at my house temporarily. My head was fine now... I just had a minor concussion.
I sat the two down to talk.
"Why were you out in the forest like that?!" I asked them.
Mabel looked over to Dipper.
"To come looking for you. When you didn't come home..." He says.
Dante curls up at my feet. I pet him. "Dipper.... I would have been fine! Honestly thereare a lot of problems that need solving. And you guys just showing up out of the blue like this?! Isn't helping!" I explain.

"This is a place I had no idea existed either! But apparently from what I've learned, ITS WHERE I WAS BORN AND RAISED!" I say getting a little too loud. I inhaled and exhaled.
"Something or someone took my memory away.... And I am about to figure that out..." I say. My mind thinking toward Laurence.
It was time he told me.
I stand. "Wait where are you going?" Mabel asks.
"I will be right back. DONT even THINK about following me!" I exclaimed.

I rush out the door and walk all the way to the guard station. I rushed in and saw Laurence cleaning a sword. "Laurence it's time you tell me." I say. He looks up and sighs. "Please." I say. He nods and motions me to sit down. I do and he sits down next to me.
"Here it goes..." he says and what he told me amazed me...

"Garroth where did you say that map was?" I asked. Laurence was shining his armor in the back round. "Over there by the shutters." he said. I nodded and grabbed the map.

"That should take you straight through the sewers and into the forest." Laurence adds. I look at him in sympathy. "Are you sure that you aren't coming?" I asked. He smirks. "Like you have your mission, I have mine." he says. I smirk and nod. "Well then we should get going considering the sewers are as long as ever." I say. Garroth nods.

We set out through the town of Hipower and snuck through to the back alleys.
"This way!" i say. He follows since I have known these tunnels since I was 5.
We went down what seemed like an endless tunnel until we saw the exit way.
"Thank god... Now come on we half to get as far as possible if we don't want to be caught." Garroth implies. I nod and we start running toward home... Moongale.
But just for visit. We had other problems to work at.
"Lilly... Are you... Sure about.... This?" Garroth asks.
We slow down. "Garroth... We have made it this far... I'm not turning back. But if you wish to go back to sign your death... Then go right ahead." I say. He looks behind him and then in front.
We had been held captive for a year or two and this was our escape. Hipower was very diligent. But we have other matters to attend to.

We were to find my parents. It was honestly only my priority but Garroth insists on helping. I have known him ever since he came to Hipower.
"If we head East then there is a chance that we are going into a death trap. Lets go west and see where it takes us from there." Garroth says. I agree and we head off.

~Interuption~

"So I didn't even know who my parents were then either?" I say. "You and I were orphans together. But a little older due to... Reasons. So that's why you were sent to Hipower first." Laurence explains. I nod.
"Things are starting to connect... Continue... Please." I say. He nods.

~Back to story~

We had finally made it to Moongale and saw Garroths family. He introduced then to me and they treated me kindly.
"--but we must be going... Only for a little bit though." He says to his sister, Jess. "I am gonna miss you bubby!" she says. She hugs Garroth tight. "Stay safe bubby otay!" she says. He lets go and smiles. "Always." he says standing. She smiles weakly.
We left in silence until we made it to the forest.

"So that's Jessica... She is so--"
"--strong.... Brave..." he says. I smirk at him as we walk. "Just like her brother." I say. He looks up at me and smirks.
It goes quiet as we continue forward.
"So our first stop is to some village called Kingston." He says. I nod. I wasn't sure if I was ready for this. I am usually ready for any obstacle but... This was different...

~Laurence stops~

I sighed. "I really don't feel like telling any more right now..." he says. I nod. At least it was something. "I understand... When your ready." I say standing. My head would start throbbing every now and then.
"O-okay..." He says I leave and walk out toward the forest. Hipower....Kingston.... I need to remember those.
I leaned against a tree and took a deep breath. Everything was madness. Everything.
I heard a sudden noise. I turn the direction of the sound.
There I saw a guy My age. "Who a-are you?" I questioned him.
He had dirty blonde hair and dark green eyes. "M-my name is..." he pauses. "Uhh... Josh... Yeah!" he said. I raised an eyebrow. "Okay... Josh. Are you from the village?" I asked him.
"Oh me? No. But... Lets just say... I know where your memories lie. I'm just..." he seemed a little suspicious.
".... An old friend you obviously won't remember.'' he finishes.
Wait a minute. "You know where my memories are?! Where?!" I say. He comes closer. "Follow me!" he says motioning. He starts walking. "Its now or never Lily..."
I mumbled I followed through the forest trying to catch up with "Josh". If that even was his name. Like I said. Suspicious.
Eventually he was getting a little too fast. "Uhh.... Josh?!" I called out. Shoot. I was out of breath and just walked. I then walked up to what looked to be... A portal? I get a little closer only to get hit upside the head with something hard. Then I land on the ground in front of the portal and everything around me darkens...

(I meant to get this out yesterday but You know... CHRISTMAS and all. Yea )
