"Today is the day, sweetie." Ellen Henderson said to her daughter as they stood in the middle of a train platform.
"But, mom, dad, it isn't platform 9 ¾ here." Lillian answered, a quizzical look on her face.
Henry Henderson laughed, followed by his wife, the little girl dumbfounded in between. She didn't find this funny, in fact, she didn't want to miss the train or she wouldn't be able to attend Hogwarts and this was no option. She had finally received her letter and couldn't wait to finally discover what magic really was, not simply listen to her parents telling her their own stories.
"You have to run through this wall."
Now it was time for Lillian to laugh but when she noticed the serious gazes of her parents, her face fell as she stared at the wall in front of her.
A few seconds later, she was awkwardly running towards the wall, her eyes shut tight as she prayed the trick would work with her. Expecting a hard material to come in contact with her entire body, Lillian frowned -her eyes still closed- when nothing happened.
"Lilli, you can open your eyes, we're on the platform 9 ¾."
Lillian shot her eyes open and took around her surroundings, her mouth hanging so low bugs could get inside. Lots of kids were running around with their parents, the noise of suitcases falling on the ground filling the entire area, as Lillian's eyes drifted to the massive train causing her to jump up and down for a few seconds.
"Molly!" Lillian's mother exclaimed, catching the attention of a woman standing a little further.
"Ellen! How are you?" she answered, giving her a hug. "Lillian, it's very good to see you, Ron is already in the train, you should join him."
Lillian smiled at the mention of her friend, Ron Weasley, before giving a hug to both of her parents, the excitment rushing her to actually jump in the train.
"Have fun out there, but Lillian, don't forget it's school, you will not like everything." her father said. "And I count on you, don't get yourself in trouble." he added as Lillian fluttered her eyelashes innocently.
"I can't promise everything dad." Lillian answered, causing Molly and her parents to laugh.
"Okay, go now or the train is going to leave without you."
Lillian ran to one of the doors and waved one last time before getting inside, literally hunting for her friend Ron. And let's just say she didn't feel embarrassed one bit by looking inside every section of the train, tempted to just yell his name and wait for him to yell back.
As frustration was starting to get the best of her, the eleven year old hit a rather hard surface, ending up on the floor. Soon, two hands grabbed her sides and a second later she was faced with two people she easily recognized.
"Fred! George!"
"Well, what got you running like this Lilli?" Fred answered, putting her down.
"I'm looking for Ron, have you seen him?"
"No, but he is somewhere, just keep looking. See you at Hogwarts, midget!"
Lillian kicked George in the leg quickly, earning a whimper from the boy as she started to walk once again before finally spotting his ginger head. She sighed quickly and bursted inside the compartment, a big smile plastered on her face.
"Ronald Weasley!"
The young boy turned his head in her direction and they both started to laugh as she leaned forward to give him a hug, barely noticing the other boy sitting across from Ron -and now from Lillian.
"Lilli, this is my new friend." Ron said, pointing a finger in front of him.
The girl smiled as she scanned the boy in front of her, dark hair, hypnotic green eyes with round glasses on top, a shy smile tugging at his lips.
"Hello, I'm Lillian Henderson." she introduced herself, holding her hand out in front of her.
"I'm Harry, Harry Potter." he answered, shaking hands with the blonde.
Lillian didn't have the same reaction as Ron when she discovered the identity of the boy in front of her, instead of gasping or raising her eyebrows, she simply nodded, giving him a genuine smile.
After all, he was somehow the reason that they were all alive right now.
And that's how a great friendship started for the three of them, joined later by Hermione.
++
Lillian Mabel Henderson was born on May 2nd of 1980 in the county of Devon, where she grew up with her parents, Ellen and Henry, who both attended Hogwarts when they were children. Her mother was a Gryffindor meanwhile her father was a Ravenclaw which made Lillian a very clever yet brave and determined young girl.
She spent all of her early years in the Burrow, considering her own house was located only a few feet behind the Weasley's and that's how she quickly became friends with Ron, always appreciating the atmosphere emanating from these walls. The Weasley's welcomed her and she quickly became a part of the family itself.
However, she didn't expect her friendship with him to turn her school education into a real journey fighting the forces of evil.

A/N: So for the summary I decided to go all the way to the beginning with cute and sassy Lillian because it was a great way to explain how she became friends with Harry, Ron and Hermione. And I count on writing lots of flashbacks because I know I won't be able to stop myself from doing so :) (I also changed Ella's name to Ellen because apparently a singer is called Ella Henderson, and yeah, no.)
Anyway, if you liked it, vote and comment, I really like feedback and it's my first HP story so yeah, I'd like to know your opinion :)
