That night, Milah lay in her bed while her husband made their dinner. Roles were definitely reversed in this relationship. She would have fought bravely, given the chance. Better to die than to sentence their son to the same fate.

Rumplestiltskin was also thinking about their previous conversation

"You don't really wish I died during the Ogre Wars, do you?" he asked her.

"I wish you'd fought," she answered honestly. "Don't you?"

"Well, I'm alive," Rumple replied. "And I'm here - with you, with Bae."

"This isn't a life," Milah said, looking up at the rotten ceiling and imagining it was the the sea. "Not for me. Why can't we just leave?"

"We've talked about that."

"You don't have to be the village coward," Milah stressed. "We could start again. Go somewhere no one knows us. See the whole world, beyond this village."

"I know this wasn't the life you wanted, but it..." he hesitated, feeling the lie before he said it. "It can be good. Here. At least try. If not for me, then...for Bae."

"Okay," Milah sighed. "I'll try."

She didn't eat that night and stayed awake long after her husband went to bed. When the moon reached it's peak, she heard the shutters rattle. Milah rose, covering herself and opened them.

"Killian!" she gasped. The pirate smiled. "What are you doing here?"

"Saving you, of course!" he replied. "Get your stuff, ship leaves port tomorrow morning." It only took Milah a minute to gather her pitiful belongings, cast a glance back at her sleeping son and slip outside.
