Chapter Five

"Mary! Your mother is home!" I ran out of my room and I see my mommy and daddy together.

"Mommy!" I ran into her arms.

"Hey baby girl." Mommy rained kisses on my head. "I missed you."

"I missed you Mommy!!" I started to cry and Mommy gave me a kiss on the forhead. My daddy came and held us all in his arms.

"My girls." Daddy said. My mommy sighed.

"Baby, how about you go back to your room? Mommy will make you some macaroni and cheese." I nodded and skipped up to my room. I was drawing a picture of me, Mommy, and Daddy under a rainbow. Then I heard Mommy and Daddy fighting.

"You're a souless asshoal!" My mommy screamed.

"Well I don't understand how you just do that to me and Mary! I'm there for Mary more than you ever were!"

"I'm still her mother! You're her father! Mary has no one to watch her all the time! You're always with your friends or other girls and I'm at work!"

"Sydney! You know that was only one time! I work more than you! Mary goes to school and she is with friends! You can't divorce me! Mary won't accept it either!" I heard my mommy come up the stairs.

"Sweety I made your food." Mommy layed the bowl on my bed. "I'll be right back. Mommy and Daddy are taking you to Aunty Lou's today."

"Mommy why can't I stay with you and Daddy?"

"M-mommy and Daddy have something to do today." Mommy left and closed my door. I ate my food and went downstairs. My mommy and daddy were sitting across from eachother at the kitchen table. I reached to put my bowl in the sink and ran to my daddy.

"Daddy pick me up." My daddy smiled and picked me up onto his lap. Daddy faced me towards Mommy.

"Mary." My mommy said. "Daddy and I are going to split up."

"What?"

"We aren't going to be together anymore. Mary."

"B-but why?"

"Mommy and Daddy are having problems, we won't live with eachother anymore." I started to cry.

"No." I said. "You guys won't leave me again." I cried and cried.

"Mary, choose who you're going to live with."

"Why?"

"Choose Mary."

"D-daddy."

I started to tear up in class, I excused myself and walked to the bathroom. It was math class so Jash saw me crying. I locked myself in the stall and stood in there until lunch. My phone was vibrating and soon Arabelle, Lucy, and Rosette came in.

"Mary?"

"Yes?"

"Open up Mary." I wiped my tears away and got out of the stall.

"What?" I asked trying to make my voice smooth.

"Come on. Let's go to lunch." The girls brought me into a hug and walked me to the cafeteria. We sat in the corner table and I didn't eat.

"Hey." A deep voice called behind me. I ignored it and I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"What happened in math Mary?" Jash.
