So Much Better

I was getting breakfast ready and August was in the shower getting ready to go somewhere.

I pulled the muffins out of the stove and poured the hot chocolate in the mugs and he walked in the kitchen in sweats with his hair dripping. I couldn't help but feel flustered at the way he made my heat rise with no effort.

"Smells good in here. Whatchu make?"
"Muffins." I muttered controlling myself.
" From scratch?"
"Yeah." I said going around the counter. "Let it cool though. I'm gonna get ready."
"I'll wait." He said sitting on the stool watching me before messing on his phone.

Reminding me to check mine.

I woke up in such a great mood I didn't even bother checking the time. I felt relief in some sort by having that talk yesterday.
Didn't even hear an alarm go off until I was being kissed to wake up.

*teheee*

I laid my clothes out on the bed trying to mix and match to make a black combination I hadn't used in the last month. But I couldn't seem to find any. I sat again on the stool in front of him and smiled.

"Thought you'd be ready by now. "
"Don't know what to wear though."

He frowned.

"Uninspired to leave the house today."
"You wanna stay home and watch some movies?"
"Alone? No thanks. I'll get distracted at work instead."
"I can stay if you want me to."

I looked at him. I wanted to just cuddle up on him and go back to sleep more than anything, but I just didn't know what was stopping me...

His phone started ringing and he cocked an eyebrow.

I nodded.

"Hello... Yeah... I ain't feeling too well. The day is canceled. Yeah I know. I'll call you later today."

He hung up his phone and started typing before saying.

"Siri call Leiah."

I looked at him with a smile.

"Can I?"
"Yeah." He said with a chuckle.

"Good morning mr. Alsina."
"Mrs. " I corrected sarcastically.
"Who is this?" I could hear her huffing.
"Angela. I'm calling to ask you to cancel all of Mr. Alsinas appointments for the day."
"He has very important appointments set up for today."
"We are aware." He said leaning closer to the phone.
"Good morning sir."
"You seem to be having trouble taking a simple order into action."
"No sir." She rushed to say in reply. "I'll get on it right now."
"That's your job." He added.
"Yes sir."
"You not gonna wish us a nice day?"
I said holding my laughter.
"Have a nice day." She muttered before hanging up.

I laughed and mimicked the way she said while August laughed at me.

"So damn petty baybeh, I swea'." He said shaking his head.

I smiled at the sound of it rolling so effortlessly off his tongue and took a bite of my muffin. He was still texting by the time I heard my phone ringing.

"Yes Jessica?"
"Boss wants to meet you. Can you write down the adress to his office?"
"Uh yeah." I said looking at him.

She passed me the adress and wished me good luck before hanging up.

"So I have a meeting with my boss in his office at three than I should be free for the rest of the day."
"Well you've got quite a lot of free time on your hands if you ask me."

I laughed.

"You wanna go to the movies?" He asked as I dragged him to the couch.
"No I wanna stay here with you." I said laying over him on the couch.
"But we going out later."
"Whatever." I mumbled.
"Who you saying whatever to?"
"Nobody."
"Thought so. Wit' yo disrespectful ass."
