He opened the door for me and Desire was the available hostess. The lust on her eyes as they measured him bothered me enough to ball my fists at my sides.
"Good evening Mr. Alsina. Booth or table?"
"Booth away from the window."
"Are you expecting anyone else?"I put a foot back for balance and swayed myself back lightly.
"I know you see her standing here Desire."
"oh." She said looking over to me. "Louise. Hello."
"Luiza." I said simply fixing my bag on my shoulder remembering the gun inside it.
"Luiza. Pardon me." She smiled fakely.I mirrored her face and August put his hand behind my back.
"Go get us the booth." He said in a serious tone.
She checked for the empty booth before directing us to it.
"Get your hand off me." I mumbled to him.
He pulled me closer and slipped his thumb inside my crop top.
"Say that tonight and I'll never touch you again."
I rolled my eyes at her switching so hard and looked at August with an eyebrow raised.
He held his smile and shook his head.
She showed us our table and left.
He sat besides me.
"Right there." I said pointing at the space across from us. "Your seat is right there."
"You gon' play me off in front of company?" He said looking at me.I giggle and he looks even more serious about it. Giving me a feeling about what he said in the car.
"Are you?"
" Mr. Alsina. Pleasure to have you here." She said finding it odd to see me.. with him.
"Luiza." She nodded my way.I'd hug her but August was sitting on the edge and so it'd be a little difficult.
"How are you?" I asked.
"I've been good-"
"Take a seat!" I smiled. She looked at August and I squeezed his leg.
He nodded pulled his phone out.
"How has it been?"
"Girl. Crazy. More clients, more delivery orders. Tremaine asked for a buffet for his sisters wedding in a hotel around town."
"When is it?"
"In three months."
"Enough time to prepare."
"Yeah." She nodded.
"We're still looking for your replacement. Do you know anyone?"
"No... I don't sadly."
"Ah. Well I'll keep looking for someone."
"Okay." I smiled. "If there's a day it's too much feel free to call me."
"Ahh I will." She smiled. She got up and left and I looked over to him.
"You're so rude."
"Who told you I was nice?"I knew his words were meant as a statement not a question so I kept to myself.
