Thanks But No Thanks.

I woke up to Iza trembling speaking so fast I couldn't make out what she was saying.

I looked around and exhaled.

"Ma."

She almost rolled off the couch and I caught her, she rolled back and elbowed me in the stomach.

"Shit. "

I sat up on the couch rubbing my eyes to get a clear view. She took up my space curling away and facing the back of the couch.

"Luiza." I said patting her thigh.

She stopped moving and I took her hand.

She looked at me.

"You good?"

She sat up and brushed her hair away from her face.

She leaned on the couch and exhaled.

"Who was it this time? "

She shook her head.

"Can we not talk about it?"

I shrugged.

"Did I..."
"You elbowed me in the stomach. "

She looked at me and hid her face in her hands.

"I'm sorry."

I shook my head dismissing the situation.

She cracked a side smile and straddled me on the couch.

I rubbed my eyes trying to get the sleep out of it.

Out of the blue she kissed all over my face holding it in her hands.

"Better stop playing."

She kissed my forehead again.

"Your pick." I said laying her on the couch and tickling her all over.

She laughed and screamed trying to squirm away.

"Shhh! You'll wake the neighbors up" I laughed.

She relaxed and took my hand linking it with hers.

"Wanna go back to sleep?"
"I kinda want those waffles."

She chuckled and whined.

"The kitchen is so far away!"
"You that weak?"
"You just took all my energy. I can barely feel my legs.

I chuckled shaking my head.

"Better stop whining before you can't feel them at all." I said pulling her back to my lap.

She laid her weight on my chest before she looked at me wide-eyed a shade of red on her cheeks.

I cracked up at the look on her face.

"You feel that?"
"What?"
"My strength it's back." She said getting up with a shy smile on her face, only to be pulled back.
"You too pretty to be hiding."

She looked down with a smile before laying her head on my shoulder.

I heard my stomach go off and she started laughing.

"Go eat man."

"Yeah, yeah." I said getting up with her around my waist.

She hugged me putting her chin on my shoulder.

She let her legs dangle getting heavier.

I put her down.

"No." She whined hooking her leg to my hip.
