"Cool." I left it alone, but she need to understand this was me before I even considered her existence.

We pulled up at the house and it was a second after I parked before I heard the door open. I reached for it and closed it back. That's it.

"Now the first damn thing I said bout you living with me was that fcuked up attitude of yours ma. I got enough worries as it is. I 'on need another one." I said looking at the car in front of me.

She was quiet.

"You remember that?"
"Yeah I do."
"You do understand this is what I do for a living."

She pouted nodding.

I chuckled.

"What would you do if you were me?"
"I'd handle it."
"That's right."

I looked at her.

"So what we look like having this conversation right now?"
" Stupid." She said shifting in her seat.
"I'm gonna handle my business and I'll be back for breakfast."

She looked at me and nodded.

"Alright."
"You wanna gimme some love befo' I lea'?"
"Nah you good." She smiled like a child.
"You gon' be mean mama?"
"Maybe when you come back."
"Yeah you gon' be mean." I nodded leaning back to my seat with a smile.

"Waffle sounds good."

She nodded.

"As you wish massa."

"Gon on man."

She leaned and kissed my forehead.

"On the forehead! What are you my grandmother?"

She laughed and mushed my head.

"You be safe Anthony."
"Ma'am, yes, ma'am."

She laughed.

"Go on with yo' fine ass. I got shit to do. "

She got serious again.

"Your waffles will be ready at eight."
"Alright."

She got off the car and Marcus came up.

He took her upstairs and I saw the light going on before I took off.
