"Lily, did you really miss me? I missed you bunches and bunches."
"Yes! Mommy I missed you bunches and bunches and bunches. My grandpa and Johnny watched you on the tv!"
It was the next day and I was finally home. Lily was the happiest to see me, of course, and had many presents for me when I walked through the day. She had made me a card for everyday that I was gone, each having different pictures on them.
She was like my shadow the second I walked through the door and it was the cutest thing ever.
"Did you have fun when I was gone?"
"It would've been fun-er if you were here. Grandpa and Johnny gived me ice cream before bed every night! That was really fun."
"Oh really? I think I need to have a talk with those rotten boys don't I?"
She giggled but shook her head. I wasn't mad that they gave her ice cream before bed even though it wasn't good for her. They got to be the fun people while I was the mom and I was okay with that.
I spent the next few hours hanging out with Lily and my dad until it was time to give Lily a bath and put her in bed. She loved baths but at the same time hated them because she knew she would have to go to bed after.
Since I had just got back, I let her play longer in the bath and even let her sleep in my bed. I knew I shouldn't let her because then she'll want all the time but I couldn't help it. I needed her next to me.
I read her a book and halfway through it, she was passed out next to me. Seeing her asleep peacefully made me think about when her dad called me.
I almost wish I had talked to him so I knew what he wanted but it was just going to be a bunch of crap like usual and I wasn't going to deal with that anymore. I was keeping my daughter away from him no matter the cost.

The next morning I decided that I would take Lily with me to practice. Since I just got back, I wanted to spend as much time with her as I could and coach was all for it.
"You ready Lil's?"
"Yes! I miss them!" The whole way here she was talking about how muched she'd miss the guys. They had all got on her good side and that made me feel a lot better.
I had talked to Beau this morning and he told me sadly that he wasn't allowed to practice with us today. He also wasn't going to be able to play in the game against Chicago but was still trying to be cleared to play against New York.
Our relationship was going good, even though we had just gotten together yesterday I was worried something was going to happen. All the guys found out when we were together on the plane home and having to hear hours of teasing really got annoying.
I was hoping since Lily was with me and Beau wasn't here that they'd leave me alone.
"Lily!" Several shouts sounded as I stepped onto the ice, pulling Lily beside me.
"Wow, I'm so happy to see you guys too." They all ignored me as Lily started saying hi to all of them.
"My buddy is back!"
"Flower!" Lily threw herself into Flower's arms and he instantly flew back onto the ice, acting like she knocked him over. "I sorry." She giggled and slid off his chest. Reaching her hand out to him, she tried helping him up the best she could.
"Can you make it up to me?" I tried to hide my smile as Lily eagerly nodded her head. "Can you guard my net? These bad guys are trying to hurt it."
