Chapter 32 - Honesty

Keane's POV

The next morning I awoke early, Tayte was still sleeping, arms draped around me. I smiled and ruffled his hair, he mumbled something inaudible,

"Tayte, I'd like to move," he opened his eyes,

"But you're so comfy" he said, I smiled, we then heard footsteps outside the door,

"If you're having or thinking about having sex, don't" it was Noah, he came through the door, "You'll get caught out one day," he jumped on the bed, snuggling next to me,

"Shut up, we're not an item" I said,

"Not yet anyway" Tayte added,

"Not helpful Tayte" I told him, trying to get out of the bed,

"Are you hurting my brothers' feelings?" Noah asked,

"I'd never do that intentionally" Tayte said, stopping me from leaving the bed,

"Well, have you told Arii yet?"

"Shit, last night" Tayte then said,

"What? What happened last night?" I asked,

"Did shit go down?" Noah said, I looked at him, "Sorry, I'll shut up"

"Arii asked me if I loved Keane more than a brother"

"What did you say?" Noah asked,

"What brought on that question, she said she just wanted to know"

"Damn..."

"I asked her what she wanted me to say and she'd completely forgotten what she'd said to me"

"Lucky for you" Noah said, I didn't say anything and got off the bed,

"Keane" Tayte said, I ignored him, pulling on some shorts, before grabbing my crutches and leaving the room. Noah and Tayte looked at each other before chasing after me,

"Keane don't do it" Noah said,

"Do what? How do you even know what I'm going to do? How come everything is always so shit? It's like the talk we had Tayte was a load of bullshit, my life is and will always be..." I didn't finish the sentence though, I stopped myself. Arii had just walked out of her room and Mum and Dad had also come out of theirs, everyone was looking at me,

"Is everything okay?"

Was everything okay? Everything was far from okay and despite the talks, despite the lies of being fine, feeling fine. I wasn't fine at all. But I could pretend, I was good at pretending that everything was okay. I knew Tayte could see through me, he was the hardest to convince, especially with my feelings for him and my heart ruling my head over the situation, "Keane?"

"Sorry. Everything is great, I was just heading down to make everyone drinks"

"Oh that is lovely Keane" Mum sad, "I'm thinking that we should have a lazy day"

"I second that, I'm still so tired" Arii said,

"Well I'll help Keane with the drinks and we'll bring them up" Noah said,

"I'll supervise" Tayte said,

"Come to me first" Arii said smiling,

"We will" she nodded and headed back to her room,
