Chapter 16 - Dangerous Consequences

The next morning was an awkward affair, I don't think any one meant it to be like that either, it was just after yesterday's events and because I roughly told the others about last night's conversation.

Noah had also snapped at me, saying how he was Keane's brother and he never told him anything anymore and that it was because I was always quick to be by his side and that he confided in me more than him. Though this morning he did apologise, saying he didn't mean anything he said.

Part of me knew he was just angry, but another part of me knew that he was jealous. Keane and Noah always used to tell each other everything. These days, all Keane wants to do is protect everyone from everything.

We were sat eating breakfast, Talina had gone for a morning massage and Anthony has gone out to get some more food in.

"What are we going to do today?" Arii asked,

"Go to Johannesburg and other surrounding areas" Keane said, we all looked at him, "I don't care if it's not a good idea, we already know the whole world want to torture us to get information about our parents. We know there's agents here, so there's no point sitting back and twiddling our thumbs"

"If you can get Talina to agree then it'd be good to get away and see the city" I said,

"I've always wanted to explore South Africa" Arii said,

"It's settled then," Keane said, he stood up and headed off inside. That wasn't before I saw him double over against the wall in what looked like to be pain. I looked at Noah, who'd also noticed,

"Go" I said, he shook his head, "Your his brother"

"So are you, I honestly didn't mean what I said to you yesterday, you're my brother as much as Keane is. Just make sure he's okay," I got up and headed out, Keane was still half leaning against the wall, I didn't say anything. I just wrapped an arm around his waist, he put one around my shoulder and I got him to our room and on the bed, he fell back and clutched his stomach,

"Shit, it's like a bunch of knives are carving me up"

"Do you..."

"No, it'll pass, it's happened before"

"I haven't seen this happen before"

"I'm usually good at hiding it" He said and then, "What's wrong with Noah?" sitting up,

"Has the pain gone?"

"Answer my question" He retorted,

"He blew out at me yesterday; basically it was in a fit of jealously. How I'm always by your side and not him anymore and that you confide in me and not him"

"He's an idiot" Keane said, I just smiled,

"Honestly, how's the pain?"

"Gone, I'm fine. It comes and it goes, don't worry" He said, "I'm going for a shower" I looked at him, "Promise I'll be careful" he smiled.
