Chapter 29

It has been almost two weeks since I spoke to Nathaniel, it still showed that my message didn't send to him. I wasn't sure if he blocked me or not, I didn't want to call him, so I decided to add him on whatsapp, to see when his last seen was. His last seen was a while ago which meant he didn't block me because I could see it, and also it meant that he hasn't been on his phone.

I didn't even see him coming in or coming out of his house once, his curtains where closed for the past few days.

It was double science, on a Monday morning. I didn't know if I had the energy to deal with it, with no partner, no Nathaniel, I sat alone on my seat. Ignoring everything Mrs Belle was saying, I couldn't get Nathaniel off my mind.

I really had to stop thinking about him, finals where coming up, and I really needed to start focusing more. I mean, where is Nathaniel? He's going to fall back so much; he hasn't been to school in a whole week. Even some of the teachers were talking about how he hasn't been in.

"Asi,"

Cassie's voice brings me back to life, I look at her waiting for her to tell me why she called me.

"We're going prom shopping after this okay, don't forget." Cassie whispers from a few tables away from me. I don't reply, I just nod in response.

Prom. I was dreading it, the guy I loved had asked me out, and now I doubt he will be coming and I will be going solo, that's if I decide to go. Knowing Cassie, she would force me.

I sit through the whole of Science, dying. It wasn't a practical lesson thank god, which meant I could sit there and just day dream. About Nathaniel. The whole letting him go thing was really hard, much harder than I expected it to be.

"Come on, we have to really sly about this, because we are not the only people who are leaving school, so don't look suspicious." Cassie says whilst coming towards me, looking suspicious.

"Chill, I won't, I'll meet you outside the class." I say whilst laughing and grabbing all my books.

She nods and walks away, whilst I go towards Mrs Belle. "Hey Miss, why did Nathaniel not come in?" I ask, without trying to sound nosy. Although I was being nosing.

"Sorry Miss Olivia, but I'm afraid I can't share that with you, you'll have to ask him." She says, whilst carrying on with marking her work.

I don't move, I don't want to. I want to know where he is. "Please miss, I promise I won't tell anyone, I'm just going insane, I just need to know he's okay, I just need to know his safe, miss it's been a week, I haven't heard from him, nor have I seen him, it's driving me nuts!" I say in a fast pace, ending it with a loud sigh.

I was waiting to get this out of my system for a while now, Mrs Belle just looks at me like I am actually insane.

"Oh you poor child, don't you worry. He is fine, he is safe. He just needs to take some time off, due to exam pressure, go ahead and have your break now." Mrs Belle says giving me a comforting smile.

I smile back warmly, that really calmed my heart beat. He was fine, he was okay. He didn't kill himself, or run away. Maybe I'll see him tomorrow?

I make my way out of the class, because impatient Cassie is not good Cassie. Barging past all the people in a hurry, I finally come near Cassie.

"You took your damn time!" Cassie hisses, whilst grabbing my arm, and pulling me outside the school.

"What's the rush, the mall is only five minutes away." I say rolling my eyes.

"You think we're going to the mall? You think we're missing three lessons to go the mall? You think we're going to the mall, where everyone will be going and getting the same dress? Prom is on Friday get your shit together!" Cassie says raising her eye brows, like I just said something that had offended her.
