Chapter 17

I grab a toast from the table and close the door loudly, loud enough for my parents to know I have left the house. It was 8:52 AM and class started at 9:00 which meant I had to walk to school in eight minutes. I was too tired for this.

Surprisingly I made it on time, Cassie was waiting outside of English for me, so we both could go in together.

"Cass, I'm dying, I hate Mondays. I want to go home." I frown and pretend to cry.

She plays along. "I know girl I know. But hey don't worry about Nathan, maybe it's for the best if you're not talking, he's just a jerk." She sighs, with sleepy eyes.

I look at her, with my sleepy eyes, smiling. "We good, we worked things out last night, I forgot to tell you, because I fell asleep as soon as I got home. Which was like really early, like 9:30" I shake my head laughing, walking into class. Pushing past the crowds of girls and guys, how did they have that much energy this early?

"Oh, well that's good! I'm happy for you Asi." She smiles at me while taking a seat. I turn back and smile at her before taking a seat myself.

I take place my books onto the table, and settle down. I look up, and I see Nathaniel walk in with his signature look, the look everyone fears but finds it intriguing, instantly I feel a weird feeling in my belly, my smile fades and turns into a cringe face until the feeling goes.

He takes a seat. "Hey." He says, while smiling at me. And that feeling is back, making it hard for me to reply. So I smile at him, he looks at me slightly confused but then looks ahead.

"Like I promised last lesson, we're going to finish off watching Romeo and Juliet." Mr B tells the class, smiling. He was extremely good looking.

"Sir, you kinda look like Leonardo." Julia sitting beside my shouts out, looking at Mr B in a inappropriate sexual way, that made the class laugh.

"Is it because of my good looks?" Mr B says wriggles his eye brows, humorously and laughs.

"Yeah." Julia replies in a sexual tone, winking in a supposedly seductive way, totally ignoring Mr B's sarcasm.

Mr B instantly stops smiling, he looked rather embarrassed, so he carried on turning the movie on. Everyone had gone silent now after laughing at Julia, all our eyes on the T.V screen.

But for some reason I couldn't get my head around the fact Nathaniel said Hi to me and no one else. I was being pathetic, and if I don't stop being pathetic I will start laughing. So I focus on Romeo and Juliet having a make out session in the swimming pool.

A small crumbled up paper in a ball shape lands on my table. I pick it up and open it up. 'So do you find Leonardo good looking?'

I turn to the direction the paper came from, it was Nathaniel. He was smiling lightly. I wink at him laughing. "He is a gorgeous man." I whisper to him while biting my bottom lip, to stop me from laughing.

"Better than me?" He whisper's back, half smirking.

My insides felt like they were going to explode if I didn't turn away this second. I nod still trying to maintain my smile, and keeping it small.

"What?" He squeaks, dropping his mouth like I just said something offensive.

My elbows resting on my table, I bite my nails to stop myself from laughing, I look at him one more time, before looking at the televison, he breathed a laugh.

*PING*

I look down at my phone. It was Cassie messaging me, I look at her before opening the message. She's smiling.
