It was almost four minutes, that I have been standing outside of my door for. I told Cassie she could see Jacob today instead of babysit me, I had some making up to do. I unlock the door with my keys, and open the door slowly, trying to make no noise when closing the door, I close is shut with my back pressed against the door.

Before I could run upstairs, my mom pops out the kitchen. "Mom? Hey."

"I think you owe your brother and dad an apology." My mom says in a calm tone, smiling with her lips closed.

"Brother and dad, I think I could get used to it." I smile.

My mum creases her forehead. "Hon, We've been your parents for more than ten years now, what are you talking about?" My mom places her hand on my cheeks.

"I know, I know. I mean I haven't been grateful enough for you guys, I just want you to know I love you mom." I frown, focussing my eyes on anything but my moms.

"I know sweetie, go talk to your brother and dad." My mom gives me a small smile.

I leave my mom in the kitchen, and walk to the garden where my brother and dad were washing the swimming pool.

"A, dad, what are you guys doing?" I ask slightly nervous.

They both stop and stay silent for a second looking at each other, "Uh, just cleaning, wanna join?" Adam grins.

"Join us!" My dad playfully laughs. I laugh with him shaking my head.

"Can I talk to you guys for a second please?" I rub my eyes as I speak, trying to muster up the words I was about to say.

They both wipe their wet hands on their tops and walk closer. "Look dad, I'm sorry for saying what I did, I was being stupid and I was angry so I said whatever, I love you guys the way you are, A I'm so happy I have a brother like you, and a dad like you, dad." I smile.

"Asi, you don't have to say anything, we know you love us," My dad smiles squeezing my hands.

I shake my head. "No, I mean yes I know you do, but you have no idea how thankful I am for yous, everything you done for me, I, I just don't know how to thank yous, you guys are my everything." I smile, licking my lips and trying to hold back my tears.

"Asi, don't you ever feel like you owe us anything, you're my baby sister and I love you more than anything!" Adam walks towards me, and gives me a hug.

"Exactly, you're my daughter, I'm going to start treating you more like your friends parents." My dad smiles.

I smile back unsurely, "What do you mean...?"

"As from now you are grounded for shouting at your dad and walking out, grounded for this week." My dad smiles tightly, like this was amusing.

"What dad, come on-". Adam hisses.

"Adam, please she wanted to be treated normally so, I am." My dad shrugs.

"DAD THAT'S NOT FAIR." I yell, before marching off, but I wasn't angry, in fact I was happy that he did that. Adam was still upset because I got grounded, but I let him treat me like a baby, it was nice.

I know what I had to do, I had one more person to apologise to. Nathaniel. My mom and dad had gone work earlier on, and my brother - well my brother didn't mind me sneaking out. It was almost seven o clock, I didn't bother texting Nathaniel, and getting a crap reply, so I went to where I knew he would be. Straight after I pop in to the worlds greatest slushy shop for us.

The wind blowing hard on my face, almost toppling the Slushy that held on my hands, it wasn't to hot today so the breeze did actually make me shiver slightly. The cold from the slushy wasn't helping, I wrap my fingers around the cup tightly so the pain get's numb, but not tight enough to make it squeeze.
