My eyes wide open, staring up at the ceiling, ignoring the faint yelling of my moms voice, telling me to wake up. The sun shining through my light brown curtains. I had been in this place for a full three weeks now, the conversation between me and the students were short and brief, but the questions were never ending, half the questions were silly, like google it?

Me and Cassie exchanged small conversations, sometimes we ate lunch together, but mostly I ate alone. Some of the poplar girls came to talk to me, they even asked me to sit on their table for lunch, but I politely declined, making an excuse saying how I had to go home, no way was I eating with a bunch of losers, who just wanted to laugh at me.

The most annoying things were the jocks, and the popular boys, they'd shout stupid names, which were not funny at all, then laugh like they were off their heads. Nathaniel on the other hand would just stare, he spoke once to me in the whole three weeks, he asked me to pick his eraser up for him, which fell near my chair.

"Up, now. We're having breakfast outside." My mom says in a serious tone, opening the door wide open, just before leaving.

I sigh ever so loud, "MOM CLOSE THE DOOR". I growl. I pick up my phone, to check the time. "Dammit". It was only half eight. Clearing all the notifications and emails from random people, I scroll through my Facebook and Instagram. It was kind of weird, how I had no friends, but followed people from my old schools on Instagram, they seemed so happy.

I get up from my bed and sit there for a few seconds, I couldn't do this anymore - the early starts and late nights, which consisted of watching films.

I was quite happy with this house, it was massive, and I had my own bathroom, so could I sleep in shorts and I didn't have to run to the toilet, without having the worry of my brother or dad seeing me like that.

My mom, and dad where a young couple when they gave birth to my brother, they were 17 which the age I am right now, which makes them 35 and my brother 18. Both me, my brother - Adam and mom and dad were all born in the same month - May, which was an amazing coincident. Although I wasn't blood, they treat me nothing less than blood. They reverted to Islam at the age of 20.

One great thing about having an older brother, was that whenever anyone was horrible to me, he had my back.

We sit on metal chairs, four around circular metal table. The table was cold, unlike everything else around us.

"This place it worse than Santa Monica". Adam spits.

"Really? I actually liked it there, it was awesome." I shrug.

"Yeah, sure, apart from the fact we starved. Like we lived on rabbit food, and no meat! A man needs his meat Asi, you wouldn't understand." Adam frowns.

It was true, all we ate was vegetarian specialised food, or chocolate and crisps. My brother found it the hardest, it was rare to find halal food shops around the places we lived.

"Adam, Rabbit food is good for you, isn't that right love?" My dad says chuckling, nudging my mom's shoulder.

"Oh leave the poor boy alone, he needs his meat!" My mom replies with laughter in her voice.

My dad and me laugh. "Let's order shall we? Waiter?" Dad slightly yells, waving his hand lightly to the guy in front of us.

I stare at the menu, there was nothing that sounded good to me. "What may I get you sir?" A familiar voice says in a stern voice.

My head shoots up. It was Nathaniel, without talking to him or acknowledging his existence I look away. "Is there anything suitable for Muslims, so a meal without any meat inside?" Dad Asks.
