Troye's POV:
"Noah? Can you hear us? Do you know where you are?"I watched, stood in the back corner of the hospital room, as her icy grey eyes fluttered open. I wanted to jump on her, and kiss her all over, but the doctors insisted I stay out of the way to prevent her from getting too overexcited.
Finally, it was over. The months of pain, loneliness and depression had melted away, and I could only see what was in front of me - her. My everything.
"I-I..this is a hospital..." She mumbled, her voice hoarse, but still sweet sounding as it was before.
"That's right," Dr Tanner smiled at her "and what year is it?"
"It's 2014." Noah said, self confidence oozing out of every word.
Dr Tanner's smile faded almost as quickly as it had materialised.
"Right. Do you remember how you got here?" The doctor pushed on.
She looked to the white ceiling, as though it withheld her answer and sighed.
"I'm sorry, I don't remember anything." She apologised
"No worries, we'll explain to you later. We have to inform you that you'll be needing a C- section"
The young doctor continued, gesturing to Noah's bulging stomach.Instead of looking confused or worried when she caught a glimpse a her round abdomen, she simply smiled and nodded. I quickly put this down to the amount of morphine they were giving her.
"We have someone here to see you."
Dr Tanner turned to look at me sympathetically, and gestured for me to come over.
I did so, slowly, as though if I moved too fast she would just become comatose again and shatter into a million pieces.
"Hey, Noah," I whispered, reaching out to touch her hand where it rested on her bulging stomach. "I've missed you so much, I don't know what I would have done if you didn't wake up when you did."
Sentimental words tumbled out of my mouth without any filter. It was like I was finally reunited with my other half. I was whole again.
"Oh my goodness," she gasped, looking at me as though she couldn't quite believe her eyes. As if she didn't believe I was real.
"Did PJ get you to come here?" She exclaimed "I knew he was planning something! I can't believe Troye Sivan is actually standing in front of me.."
I raised an eyebrow at her.
"PJ?" I questioned
"He's my boyfriend," she explained casually, grinning up at me "the best one ever."
My smile faltered, as she placed her hands back on her swollen stomach.
"Y-your boyfriend? But I'm your boyfriend!"
She gasped once again, this time covering her mouth and blushing.
"I wish," she said, smiling up at me mischievously.
Thankfully, before I could reply and/or burst into tears, Dr Tanner stepped forward and interrupted our conversation.
"Sorry to interrupt," she began "but I didn't want this to escalate any further without a proper explanation on my part"
I stared at her, confused. I wasn't sure whether this was some sort of sick joke or not. My eyes darted from Noah, looking just as dumbfounded as I was to Dr Tanner, who was itching to speak, her polished feet tapping impatiently.
"Noah, you were stabbed 8 months ago. That's why you were admitted to this hospital. You sustained extensive liver damage due to this, and went into a coma shortly after you arrive here.We predict you were unconscious for a while before Troye found you, meaning you had a poor supply of oxygen to your brain."
"And what does that mean?" Noah questioned, sitting up slowly.
"It means you've got amnesia."
