The restaurant Eat & Greet was about 2 blocks away from the studio. I pulled into the parking lot and parked my car near the entrance just like everyone else. Once we got everything situated we all walked in together. I felt awkward and excited at the same time but there was no way I was gonna show them that.
It was pretty packed with people that looked to be our age. This was definitely going to be one of those spots where older teens can just chill. They sat us down at a table. I sat in between Thomas and Julie.
We started to skim the menu.
"What are you thinking of getting?"Julie asked.
I didn't know how to answer her. Could I trust her after what Anthony told me? What am I thinking, all she wants to know is what I wanna eat! I'm over exaggerating.
"The four mini hamburgers."
"Oh yea that does sound good! I think I might copy you."
We shared a small laugh.
The flatscreen in front of our table was playing the A's and Dodgers game.
"Who are you routing for?" Colton asked.
"Athletics."
They all booed me but whatever.
"So Emily are you originally from here? I'm assuming not because you're routing for the A's." Julie said.
All the boys were waiting for me to answer.
"L.A.? No I'm originally from San Francisco. That's where I took all my classes and everything. Then I landed a job here and I moved here."
"Wait so how long have you been here?" Colton asked.
"Like 2 weeks."
"No way. We have to show you all the adventures out here!" Thomas yelled.
"I still can't believe you've been out here only that long." Joey said.
I shrugged.
"You already have a place out here?" Eric asked.
"If you call a crappy one room apartment a place then yes."
"Oh my God Emily! What if I told you I was looking for a room mate?" Julie asked.
Was she legit about to ask me to move in with her? I couldn't believe this was happening right now.
"Are you being serious?"
"Yes! My house is too big for me and I get bored plus I can show you all the ropes of L.A., you can't just learn it over two weeks."
I thought it over. Should I?
"Give me a day to think about it and I'll let you know. Promise."
"You got it."
The waitress took our orders and we just talked and talked. The randomest things would come out of our conversations. We went from talking about sports to talking about candy. All the boys were complete jokesters! It was pretty fun hanging out with them. I would've been mad if I turned down Thomas's invite. When we got our food we digged right in and left Eat & Greet before it got dark.
Everyone started to say our good byes except for me and Julie. At last minute we planned to go to her house so I can have a tour. Thomas was the last person to say goodbye to. He gave me a big hug. I felt so warm in his arms. He made me feel like I was home. Oh how I miss home. We parted from each other.
"Thanks for the invite." I told him.
"No problem see you in the studio." He winked. My heart melted a bit but I kept my cool. I'm sure he was just messing with me. Hopefully.
Julie snapped me out of my trance, "So you can follow me to my place and we'll take it from there!"
"Let's do it."
