Me and Julie arrived at her house fairly quickly. I was sort of scared. Even though this girl is a total sweetheart I barely know her. I felt like I was getting put into one of those room mate scary movies. Why am I even thinking like this? I swear ever since I got to L.A. I feel like it's changed me. I started to think about the pros instead of cons of being here then I was cool. The house was two stories! Really big just like she described it and it looked brand new.
"What do you think?" she asked as we were walking up the passage way.
"It looks better than my apartment."
"Wait till you see inside!" she said happily.
We walked up to the porch and she opened the door gesturing for me to go in first. I walked in and it looked even better inside than it did on the outside. I guess I should expect this, she works for Red One and probably gets fat checks. I can't wait to get my first check! The living room was the first room you saw. It was decorated black and red. The walls were red and most of the furniture was black.
"Let me show you the kitchen!"
She led me there. It was really breath taking. She must really like colors because most of the utensils and decorations were green and yellow everything else was black.
"Next stop upstairs!"
I smiled and she led me upstairs in front of a door.
"I will warn you now, it is a guest bedroom right now so it's simple but if it becomes yours you can do whatever the hell you want with it. And this room right next to it is mine."
I just nodded my head and she opened the door. The bed was a king size! There was a flat screen TV on the wall so you had the perfect view of it from the bed. Plus the room had a big window with a view of the front of the house. The closet door was a mirror and it very was roomy inside. And to top it all off it had it's own bathroom!
"I've never had my own bathroom!"
"Well you can if you agree on living here. Wanna see the backyard?" she asked.
"Sure."
We ran downstairs and she led me to the back of the house. She opened a sliding door and turned on a light. The backyard was the perfect size! It even had a pool! Now I understood why she needed a room mate, this place was way too big for one person plus I bet the rent is expensive, but whatever I'm getting good money soon.
"I really love this house!" I told her.
"You could live here you know. Give me your phone because I have a feeling you're going to give me your answer tonight."
I gave it to her.
"We'll see." I replied.
"Okay then I guess that's it."
We walked back outside to the front. I started to walk away from the front porch.
"Goodnight!" she yelled. "Oh yea and one more thing." I turned around. "Do you wanna chill tomorrow? We could go shopping or I can even take you touring after work?"
"I'm down for anything." I replied.
"Great! See ya at work tomorrow!"
She closed the front door. Maybe she isn't so bad after all.

I arrived back to my room sized apartment and read. Then as always the annoying couple that live next door start arguing. I slammed my book closed and put my pillow over my ears. I couldn't stand to hear people fighting especially after every other night. It is so annoying and always brings back bad memories. I tried to sleep but they seemed to just get louder. I decided to call the front desk but when I reached for the phone there was a cockroach on the handle. I reacted by screaming and falling off my bed. I need to get out of here.
Julie was my only option.
