I woke up bright and early the next day to go to work. Red had sent me a text message that same night asking me if I could go in tomorrow because Midnight Red would be there again. He must really like me! I didn't mind at all, I honestly was really excited. Once I finished getting ready I was off to work.

I entered the building and that same girl was there once again typing on her computer.

"Hey." she said.

"Hello. Do have any tissue, my nose is bothering me."

"Yea, here you go."

She handed it to me with a huge grin on her face. She seemed like she was examining me.

"I never got your name." I told her.

"My name is Julie." She shook my hand.

"Well thanks for the tissue Julie."

"You're welcome."

While I was walking off but she said something that I couldn't hear. I just ignored it. If I talked to her anymore I'd probably be late. Instead of knocking this time I walked straight in and Midnight Red were singing in the vocal room already. I hoped I wasn't late. I took a quick look at my clock, 7:20 AM. Ten minutes early. Not bad.

Red turned around in his chair, "Morning Emily. Look who decided to show up early today."

"I noticed. I thought I was late."

He laughed.

"No right on time. Do you think you can take over for a minute I need to go run an aaron. If they get out of hand just call me."

Was he serious?

"Sure I can do that but what exactly do they have to do while you're gone?"

"Well after this song they need to separate vocal recordings for their new single 'Take Me Home.' Don't be afraid to give them advice either, they take criticism very well. And here are the lyrics to the song." He handed them to me. "I should be back before you guys finish if not then that's a wrap."

"Okay."

He rushed out of the room. The boys continued to sing. I couldn't blow this I had to make sure that everything went as planned just as Red told me. They finished their last note to the song "Hell Yea."

After that they kind of stood there awkwardly waiting for instructions.

"Okay guys! We are gonna do separate vocal recordings right now for Take Me Home! Any volunteers to go first?" I asked.

Eric raised both of his hands.

"Okay Eric."

The rest of the guys left the vocal room and joined me in the control room. Thomas sat in Red's chair right next to me and the rest of the guys were sitting behind me on the sofa.

Eric began to do his parts. He did really well. I critiqued him a little bit, he seemed to understand and when he did it again he came back 10 times better. This was easier than I thought it was gonna be.

"So Emily how long have you been involved with music industry?" Thomas asked.

I almost didn't answer because his eyes were so hypnotizing.

"I haven't really been involved with it until now, well I've been taking school for it but this is like my first job having to do with music."

"Oh I see. So you enjoying it so far?"

"Oh my gosh Thomas stop being such a flirt!" Anthony yelled.

"Shut up I'm just being nice!" he shot back.

I couldn't help but laugh.

"I'm loving it so far." I answered.

He just laughed. Eric finished and walked back into the control room.

"Good job Eric." I told him.

"Thank you."

"Eric since you volunteered to go first you get to pick who goes after you."

"I pick," he covered his eyes and starting pointing around the room. "Anthony."

Anthony moaned loudly and entered the vocal room. He started to do his bits of the song. I was really enjoying every second of him singing. As soon as Anthony finished Joey went up, then Colton, and last but not least Thomas. Eric took his spot in his chair. Thomas sounded pretty good. I had to critique him though.

Then he'd start to sing again, " Your killing my resistance now I have to let go..."

"You know he's doing that on purpose right?" Eric whispered.

"Doing what?"

"Messing up."

"Why would he do that?"

"Because he likes you." I heard Anthony say.

"Sure he does." I said sarcastically.

"It's true. And just a fair warning, Julie is his wingman." Anthony added.

"Whatever guys." I left it at that. I knew I couldn't form any relationship with one of the members. I knocked that idea right out of my head. Thomas finished and Red still wasn't here!

"Well guys since Red isn't here you guys are free to go!" I told them.

They all cheered. We all exited the studio together. Julie had just ended her shift too. She walked with us outside. I started to walk to my car but Thomas stopped me.

"Hey Emily, Julie and the rest of us guys are going to this new restaurant called Eat & Greet down the street. Would you like to come too? We can eat and greet."

We both laughed.

"Was that a little too corny?" he asked.

"Very corny."

I thought about it. Was it a good idea? Were the boys right? Doesn't matter anyway I would never date him. I couldn't. Plus it's a group thing it shouldn't be awkward.

"I'd love to."
