I blinked a couple of times just to make sure I wasn't dreaming. This couldn't be happening. Not now. I completely ignored Taylor and put all my focus on Avery.
"How could you do this to me when I specifically told you to leave it alone!?" I was furious.
Avery looked at me upset. "I thought..."
"You thought what Avery? You thought this would help? This is the worst way possible. I can handle my own problems. Okay?!" I let my voice grow loud.
"Whoa. Don't be mad at him. Give me a chance to explain kiddo." Taylor said.
"Shut up Taylor. Don't call me that. Don't talk to me. Period."
I gave Avery a disappointed look before storming out of the venue. I felt my face get hot and tears start to form. I wiped them away furiously and tried to catch a cab. Finally a cab stopped for me but as I was closing the door a hand stopped it. Taylor.
"Just let me explain. Please."
I looked at him. He looked like he was gonna cry. Great. Even though I knew I was gonna regret it I opened the door for him and scooted over so he could sit down.
"Where to guys?" The driver asked.

We arrived at my house. It was completely silent until I closed the front door behind me.
"Nice place. I guess everything payed off?" He sat on the couch.
"Yea. Everything you thought wasn't possible happened."
"I was an idiot back then."
"How do I know you're still not one now?"
"Can we talk once without getting mean with each other? I want to talk like how we used to. Before you know what happened."
I crossed my arms. "I'm listening."
"I know I've said sorry a hundred times before but this time I actually mean it."
"Prove it."
"Look at me! Do I look the same to you? Are my eyes red? Am I carrying a bag on my back?"
"No. I'm surprised actually. You don't look like shit as usual." I smirked.
He smiled. "That's the sister I remember."
"Don't get too happy. I'm still pissed off at you and Avery."
"The kid was just trying to help."
"Well that kid disobeyed me."
"Stop being mad. What can I do to make it up to you? Want some cookie dough ice cream? I know it's your favorite. Just warning you now I've been here for only a few hours so I have no idea where the nearest ice cream shop is." He shrugged.
I rolled my eyes. "Of course you don't."

We stopped at the same ice cream shop me and Avery ate at on the way back from the concert.
"So how have you been?" he asked.
"Anxious."
"What's on your mind kiddo?"
"Long story."
"We have time."
I told him everything. Everything from coming here to now. Even though my brother could be a total douche sometimes, I enjoy talking to him. He was probably the best listener ever. To me that's his best quality.
