12 - The Interview

The next morning I woke up to a knock at my bedroom door.

"Come in!"

Julie sat on my bed,"Guess what?"

"What?" I asked still with my eyes still shut.

"Anthony asked me out last night!"

I sat up on my bed and rubbed my eyes to see a happy expression on her face.

"I'm so happy for you! I have some news too."

"Really what's that?"

"Me and Thomas are official now."

"Awww I knew it was gonna happen sooner or later!" I saw her glance over at the clock. "The boys are gonna be on the radio in 5 minutes! C'mon let's get downstairs and listen to the radio."

We both ran down stairs and turned on 102.7KIISFM. Julie wasn't lying when she said she makes breakfast every single day! I didn't mind though. She's a great cook plus I can't cook for shit. We ate while waiting for the boys to come on with Ryan Seacrest.

"And we are back with Midnight Red in the studio! Good morning guys!" Ryan announced.

We heard exchanges of good mornings and hellos. They talked about their Pop Explosion Tour and a lot about the writing process. Ryan even brought up Red and how they go way back and what not.

"So guys my Twitter mentions are blowing up right now. Your fans are asking tons of questions. So I'm just gonna ask a few and you guys answer them as best as you can. Okay first question, 'Which of you guys are single?' and that question is from Ana!"

"Team Single." Joey.

"Single and ready to mingle." Eric.

"Single." Colton.

"Single for now." Anthony.

"Unlike these losers I'm with someone right now." Thomas.

Did he really just say that?

"Oh really? Can we have her name or will we have to find out by ourselves?" Ryan teased.

"You'll have to figure that out." he answered.

Thank goodness he didn't say my name. He should've just lied and said he was single. I wondered if these boys were even aloud to date or have girlfriends while working on albums and doing gigs and other junk like that. Red never mentioned anything about dating the artists to me but I'm sure he expects more of me. After a couple more questions the boys sang an acoustic version of "Take Me Home." Then they said their goodbyes to Ryan and went off air.

Now that I realized Julie and Anthony are going to date now I wondered why she wasn't as freaked out as me if Red were to find out. "Julie aren't you scared that Red might find out about you and Anthony?"

"No. What's the worst that can happen?"

"I don't know. You losing your job?!"

"Red wouldn't fire me."

"How are you so sure?"

"He's family."

"You guys are you related!?"

"My uncle to be exact."

"Why am I learning this now?"

"It's supposed to be a secret to his colleagues and stuff like that. He doesn't wanna show favoritism. The boys don't even know it. He expects me to watch over you while he's gone too. This is our secret okay?"

"Okay. I would've never thought. You guys don't look alike. Has Red ever fired anyone for dating an artist?"

"Not that I know of. But if he does find out about you and Thomas I can always talk him into bringing you back. No biggie."
