The next day in the afternoon Thomas offered to take me to the pier to eat sushi for dinner. The only reason I actually said yes was to talk to him about the concert with Avery. Plus I love sushi. I went downstairs and Thomas was waiting inside for me. He looked great as always.
"Hey Emily."
"Sup Thomas."
"You ready?"
I nodded my head and we walked outside together. The car ride was pretty silent. I didn't want to show that much affection towards him after what happened with the whole Felicia thing. I was still holding my grudge which is a hard thing to do with a guy like Thomas. His eyes. His Hair. His smile. It just made me want to adore him.

We were seated in a booth in a corner where no one could see us.
"So did you have anything planned tomorrow?" Thomas asked.
"Actually yea. I'm planning on going to a concert with Avery tomorrow."
I looked at his facial expression. It was calm.
"Sounds like fun. What concert?"
"The Wanted."
"Oh so you'll have fun for sure won't you?"
"Yea." I had my hand on the table and he grabbed it.
"Where's your bracelet?"
"I guess I forgot it at home." I felt like a total douche for that one. I never planned on not bringing it with me.
"Emily is there something wrong?"
"Just a little home sick." I lied.
He made a puppy dog face. I couldn't help but smile.
"Wanna talk about it?"
"I'd rather not. Let's talk about you. What'd you do yesterday after dancing?"
He seemed surprised by the question. He took a sip of water before answering.
"Felicia and I went to Eat & Greet to celebrate her birthday."
Well that was a punch to the face. Here I'm thinking that they went out just to go out. But it was her birthday.
"Oh nice." was all I could say.
I guess I felt somewhat relieved. He seemed a bit relieved too. After he told me that I was more open with him. The truth hurts but I'd rather him be super honest instead of him keeping it all bottled up to himself.

We pulled up to my house. I didn't think I was going to have that much fun with him. Especially after the way I treated him in the beginning.
"Have fun at your concert tomorrow Emily."
He kissed me quick before I left the car. I was glad he was happy with me going with Avery. But then again he knew it was coming. I entered the house to find Julie eating her dinner on the couch.
"Whatcha watching?" I asked.
"Catfish. These people are so desperate it's sad. How'd it go with Thomas? You didn't tell him that I told you about Felicia right?"
"No I squeezed it out of him. He was okay with me going to Avery too."
"Well get some rest so you're ready for the concert tomorrow!"

Sunday. I wore my merch tee and shorts with my chucks. My hair was straightened. Shirt was tucked in. Just eyeliner and lip gloss on. Avery would be here any second. I went downstairs. Julie was in the back yard swimming since it was blazing hot. I walked out into the back to find her treading water.
