Thomas's P.O.V.

I was really nervous. But it's not like I could tell her no. That'd be a great way to start another argument. We were in the car on our way to Avery's. Emily was directing me. After a couple more turns we stopped in front of a house.

"Thomas."

I looked over at her. "Mi amor?" (My love?)

"Nervous?"

"Well I don't know. The first time I actually did 'meet' him he nearly kicked my ass."

She giggled. "Just be yourself. Okay? Trust me you'll be fine."

We exited the car. She led me up to the door holding my hand. I smiled to myself. It's been awhile since I could do this with her. It was worth the wait though.

She tapped on the door three times. It swung open almost instantly. Avery stood there. It basically was his fault for the argument between Emily and I, but I wasn't going to be rude. That would be another great reason to start an argument with Emily.

"Hey guys." He greeted.

I gave him nod.

"Is Taylor here?" Emily asked eagerly.

"Yea he's in the backyard. Come on in."

Emily led me inside the house to the back. She opened the sliding door. Taylor was sitting in a lawn chair talking on the phone. The chair was positioned so his back was facing us.

"Thomas stay right here. I'm gonna surprise him." Emily whispered.

I nodded my head.

Emily's P.O.V.

I started to creep up on him.

He was having a conversation with somebody on the phone. "Thanks a lot man! You're the best. Me and Em are fine. Thanks for asking! Okay. Take care buddy. Bye."

Who could it be?

"Boo!" I yelled.

He jumped off of his seat. "Holy shit! Em you almost gave me a heart attack."

"Sorry about that. But there's someone I want you to officially meet."

He looked over my shoulder. "Your boyfriend?"

Thomas's P.O.V.

Emily gave me the signal to walk over to her. I felt super awkward. He seemed welcoming though.

He held out his hand. "No hard feelings?"

I shook it. "None at all."

"I'll be right back guys. I need to use the bathroom." Emily announced.

She walked back into the house. Did she really have to leave me alone with him?

"Why don't you have a seat?" he suggested.

I sat down across from him. I don't know why I was so nervous. He seemed pretty cool.

"Okay Tom." he started.

"Thomas." I corrected him.

"Yea that. Let me just get down to the chase. You break her heart. You're dead. Understand?"

I gulped. "Understood. I don't think you need to worry about that happening though."

"I hope you're right. Do you really like her? Be honest."

"I don't like her. I love her. I'd do anything for her." I don't where that boost of confidence came from but I wasn't going to lie to him.

He smiled. "I believe you. Just don't hurt her in any way. Even though my sister seems solid, she really isn't. As you probably already know she doesn't have a dad. If she did I wouldn't be the one sitting across from you right now. He would. But since he's not here I have to be the one to tell you."

"Yea. I understand why you're doing this. Your dad would've been proud."

"Thanks man. Here she comes."

Emily sat right next to me.

"So what are we talking about?" She asked.

"Guy stuff." Taylor replied winking at me.

After another an hour of just talking, Emily decided it was time to go. Taylor walked us to the door. He gave Emily a hug before walking out the door. Instead of going for a handshake he gave me a hug too.

"Take care of her." he whispered.

I nodded my head then he released me from his grasp.

"Okay you kids get out of here." he ordered.

"Bye Tay!" Emily said one last time.

We entered the car and I started to drive towards her house.

"Be honest Thomas."

"What?"

"Was he an ass to you when I wasn't there?"

"No he wasn't being an ass. He was just doing his job."

"So he was an ass?"

"No Emily. He was really nice."

"Doesn't sound like Taylor. What did you guys talk about then?"

"If I told you then I'd have to kill you."

"Fine don't tell me." She pouted.

"Awwww. Still not telling you."

"Figured."

I pulled up to her house.

Emily's P.O.V.

"See you on Wednesday?" He asked.

"Of course."

I kissed him on the cheek before exiting the car.

"Goodnight Em."

"Night!" I waved as he left.

I opened the door. Surprisingly Julie wasn't watching TV as usual. I walked upstairs to her room and opened the door. She was on the phone.

"I'll call you back later Anthony! Emily just got back home... Emily he says 'Sorry! He just couldn't stand to see you guys both sad.'"

"Tell him I forgive him."

"She says you're forgiven. Okay see you Wednesday bye! Muah!" She hung up.

"Well what are you waiting for?" I asked.

She patted her bed. I sat down next to her.

"Sorry but I couldn't resist. Anthony told me the plan and I thought it was genius. I knew how much you missed him. I thought it'd be the only way to get you guys talking again. Please tell me everything went okay!" She bit her lip and crossed her fingers.

"It went... really well."

"Yay!" She yelled hugging me.

"So you guys are okay?"

"Yes mam. He even met my brother today!"

"How was that?"

"Thomas claimed it was good but I don't know."

"Well that leaves only one thing for you and Thomas to do!"

"Don't remind me."

"Wednesday?"

"Wednesday."
