(Joanne's Point of View)
I glanced out the kitchen window as I waited on the sink filling with water. After a few minutes I looked away from the window to the clock which hung over the kitchen door. Only a few more minutes and then Joel would be home. I turned the tap off when the sink was finally full and started washing the dishes. I didn't understand how two people could make such a mess in one house but hey Joel and I seem to manage to do so. We'd moved out of the house with the boys and into our own place about a year and a half ago. I wasn't going to lie, I missed the full house with Joel, myself, the lads and Erin. She'd moved into the house with us just after her and Ryan's first anniversary. When she moved in it was amazing because I didn't have four guys ganging up on me anymore. Although like us, her and Ryan moved into their own place shortly after we moved out. I turned around at the sound of Joel's key in the lock and smiled.
"Babe I'm home!" he shouted through the house. I smiled and dried my hands with the towel before running through to the living room where Joel was now stood glancing through the mail I'd left for him. He turned and smiled at me before I jumped on him, tipping us both back onto the sofa. He landed with a groan and smiled, pushing some of my hair back off my face.
"Finally you're home! I've been so bored and alone all day!" I whined.
"Well isn't someone excited to see me?" he laughed. I nodded and sat up off him.
"I'm always excited to see my favourite guy in the world. Seriously though, I was so bored I cleaned the entire house!" I said watching as his eyes flicked over the letter he'd opened.
"Oh well guess that means nothing for me to do now." he smirked. I glared at him with a smile.
"Don't be so sure Joel. I need someone to dry the dishes and you came home just in time to do that job." I said standing up and pulling him along with me. He dropped the letter he'd been looking at and followed after me. I trailed into the kitchen with him behind me whining about being tired.
"I've been busy all day rehearsing for the tour tomorrow. Can I not just relax and lie on the couch with you?" he asked frowning. I shook my head.
"Dry these for me and then we can relax. Please Joel?" I asked.
"Fine for you anything." he said picking up the towel and a mug to dry. I continued washing the dishes until Joel thought it would be funny to reach over and flick me with water. Being the child I am, I did the same back. He went to do it again but I caught his wrist and glared at him.
"You soak my nice clean kitchen and you're sleeping in the spare room tonight." I said. He pulled his wrist back and continued to dry the dishes before putting them away.
"So mean babe." he said with a small grin. I smiled back at him.
"I did not clean this kitchen for you to mess it up so yes, mean." I laughed before emptying the sink.
"I'm used to it after four years together." he said nudging my shoulder.
"I have not been mean to you for four years Joel. Only when we moved in together and I had to clean up after us. That's when I got mean so you wouldn't make a mess again." I explained with a small laugh. I left him to sort out the now dry dishes and walked into the living room and fell onto the sofa.
"So what do you want to do for dinner? Pizza?" Joel asked walking through holding up a few different take out menus. I glanced over at him and smiled.
