(Joel's Point of View)
I paced the floor of the hall as we were waiting as the guests were arriving. I couldn't believe how fast the time had passed since I had proposed to Joanne. Now we were finally here on our wedding day about to get married. Adam grabbed onto my arm to stop me pacing.
"Joel stop pacing! You're making us all dizzy." he said. I shook his arm off and frowned turning to the lads.
"Sorry, just nervous I guess." I mumbled and leant against the wall, readjusting my tie.
"Why? What could you possibly be nervous about? You're marrying the girl of your dreams today. You'll be married and to top it off you have a baby on the way. No reason to be nervous at all." Andy said with a small smile. I smiled back. He was right. I was marrying the girl of my dreams today. I couldn't imagine spending my life with anyone other than Joanne. We'd finally be married and it was just under four months until the baby was here. Everything was perfect.
"Don't know to be honest. Just what if something happens. She doesn't show up or something happens with the baby in the middle of the ceremony." I said going off on a tangent. Ryan cut me off as he pulled at his tie. The boy hated the idea of being in a suit all day.
"Okay firstly, she'll show up. She's only down the hall getting ready with Erin. Second, nothing will happen with the baby. She's five months pregnant, almost six. I doubt that baby will make an appearance." he said laughing and put a hand on my shoulder. I nodded and took a deep breath.
"I guess you're right. Now stop pulling at your tie!" I said to him. He frowned and gave me the finger.
"I fucking hate wearing a suit though." he whined.
"So what about your wedding? Gonna rock up in skinny jeans and a vest top? Don't think Erin would be too impressed." Andy said and we all started laughing.
"I'll suggest it to her. You never know." he said laughing. "Now before Joel explodes with excitement, how about you three finish welcoming the guests and I go check on my fiancee and Joel's soon to be wife?" he said. We just nodded and mumbled a response before he disappeared down the hall towards the room where Joanne was getting ready. I almost went with him. I was so impatient today, I just wanted to see her again. I hadn't seen her since last night because I stayed at Adam's.
"Well look at my handsome boy." I smiled and turned around when I heard my mum's voice.
"Hi mum!" I said and pulled her in for a hug. She pulled away with tears in her eyes. "You're crying already? Haven't even gotten married yet." I said laughing. She smiled and wiped at her eyes with a tissue.
"It's emotional for a mother watching her little boy grow up. I mean today you're getting married and next you'll be a daddy." she smiled. I hugged her again before she said she was going to head in and find her seat
"Aw little Joely making all the ladies cry. What's the bet Joanne cries during the ceremony or at the reception?" Andy said with a laugh.
"Hey she's pregnant so her hormones are all over the place. Can't blame her if she cries." I pointed out.
"Very true. What's the bet Joel cries?" Adam asked. I shook my head and gave each of them the middle finger.
"You bastards, I'll remember this for when you two get married." I said laughing. I kept welcoming the guests from both sides of our family until everyone was in and seated.
