(Joel's Point of View)

I grinned as I walked up the path to my parents house. I had been so impatient to get here because I knew Joanne was already waiting for me. I hadn't seen her since the morning I left because she'd been in bed since then ill. I turned the handle and walked in dropping my bag at my feet.
"I'm home!" I shouted through the seemingly empty house.
"I'm up in your room. Your parents went out." I heard Joanne's voice call back. I ran up the stairs two at a time until I got to the landing at the top. I headed down the hall to the familiar door and opened it to find her curled up on the bed.
"Babe you alright?" I asked gently sitting on the bed. She lifted her head slightly and nodded.
"I'm fine. Just a little under the weather but it'll clear." she mumbled. "I've missed you." she added as I lay down next to her and pulled her against my chest in a hug.
"I've missed you more but I'm here now." I whispered running my fingers through her hair. I hated when she was ill beause I always felt useless. "Do you want me to get you anything?" I asked.
"No I'm fine." she said looking up at me. I leant down and gave her a small kiss.
"Sure? Because I was planning on taking you out tonight but if you're sick then we can just stay in." I said putting a hand to her forehead to check her temperature. She didn't have one which was good.
"Yes I'm sure. Now where you taking me? And what's the occasion? We don't have an anniversary today that I forgot do we?" she asked sitting up slightly.
"No we don't. I just thought I'd treat my girlfriend since you've been feeling crappy the past week since I left." I smiled pulling her back down on the bed.
"That sounds great. Where we going?" she asked.
"Its a surprise. You'll be getting blindfolded." I said with a small smile. She glared at me and hit my arm.
"Come on I don't want to be blindfolded." she whined. I kissed her and pulled away looking into her eyes.
"Do it for me?" I asked. She sighed and nodded.
"I'll do it for you Joel. Now tell me what you've been getting up to on tour." she said with a smile.
"The usual. Travel, rehearse, perform, hotel, travel. Until now when I walked in the door and heard your voice. I'm so glad you managed to come here despite feeling shit." I said taking her hand.
"Sounds fun. I'm glad I managed to come here as well. I had Erin to make sure I didn't collapse on the train anyway." she said with a small laugh.
"Ah so she's here as well? Ryan will be happy. But I'm just focused on you being here and you feeling better for the rest of the tour." I said.
"Well Joel is that you asking me to join you for the rest of the tour?" she asked with a smirk.
"Yes it is. So will you? Please? I don't like sleeping without you by my side. Its not nice." I frowned.
"Yes I will! I don't like sleeping without you either. The house is so cold and empty without you there." she said frowning also. I laughed and kissed her.
"Thank you! So I know you take a while to get ready so get to it because we're heading out at six." I said and stood up off the bed and walked out the room leaving her to start getting ready.

We walked into the restaurant that I had taken her to on our second date. We were even going to be sat at the exact same table. We were led over to the table and sat down. Our drink order was taken before the waiter walked off. I smiled across the table at Joanne and she smiled back.
"I have something I need to tell you." she said glancing around the table.
"Me first. I was going to wait until after dinner but I just really want to do it now." I said with a massive grin. I stood up out my seat and walked around to her. I got down on one knee and pulled out the small red velvet box. I looked up at her to see her face in shock.
"Joel what?" she asked but I just ignored her.
"Joanne, we've been together for four years now and not a day goes by where I regret it. I knew you were the one for me from the minute I seen you in the park that day and I just wanted to be with you then. However, you weren't keen on me the way I was but I was so in love with you and determined to be with you that I changed who I was so I had a chance with you. Changing the way I was  has been the best thing I've ever done because it gave me the chance to have the best girl in my life ever. So what I'm trying to say is will you marry me?" I said with a nervous smile. I could feel the eyes of everyone in the room looking at us, some probably recognising me from the band. She was silent for a few minutes, before she finally locked eyes with me.
"Of course I will Joel!" she smiled and the whole room erupted in applause. I stood up and slid the ring onto her finger. "It's gorgeous Joel! No way did you pick that out yourself." she said with a small laugh. I leant down and pressed my lips against hers and smiled.
"Of course I picked it out myself. Only the best for my fiancee." I said pulling out of the kiss and winking at her. She smiled with a blush spreading across her cheeks and sat down again. I went back over to my seat and smiled.
"I can't believe we're getting married!" she said, a little too loudly as a few people turned and smiled.
"I can't believe you said yes. There was just a little part of me worried you'd say no." I admitted. She reached over and held onto my hand, the ring glistening under the lights of the restaurant.
"As if I'd say no. I love you too much and I've been dreaming of this day for a while now." she said. I looked up and smiled at her.
"I love you so much Mrs Peat." I said with a laugh.
"That's future Mrs Peat to you." she said laughing.

(Joanne's Point of View)

I stood out the back of Joel's parents house and smiled as I looked down at my ring. I couldn't believe he had proposed. I looked towards the bottom of the garden and spied the hole in the bush that led to our secret area. I pulled Joel's jumper on and started to make my way down to the entrance. I climbed through when I reached it. It looked pretty much the exact same as the first night he brought me here. I smiled and walked over to the log and sat down wrapping my arms around myself.
"Joanne? You out here?" Joel called from the garden. I sighed and took a deep breath before replying.
"Down here! Through the bush." I shouted back. Better to tell him now than later. A minute or two later and he appeared in the clearing. He walked over and sat down next to me and put his arm around me pulling me in against his side.
"It's freezing. What you doing out here?" he asked.
"Thought I'd come to the place where I realised I wanted to be with you. Plus I had to think about something." I answered.
"Cute. What do you need to think about?" he asked. I sighed and leant my head against his shoulder.
"How to tell you something." I whispered. I felt him tense and then he let go of me and stood up.
"You aren't already having second thoughts about the engagement are you?" he asked the worry clear on his face. I shook my head and stood up as well and walked over to him.
"Of course not! I'm over the moon that we're engaged! I can't wait to be your wife. It's just I have to tell you something else and I'm not too sure how you'll react." I mumbled. He put his hands on my arms and gave me a soft smile.
"Unless you've cheated on me or want to break up I doubt I'll get pissed. You can tell me anything you know that." he whispered. I nodded and took a deep breath.
"Well I know what's wrong with me. Why I've been so tired and under the weather." I started off.
"Did you go see a doctor?" he asked. I shook my head at him.
"No, Erin mentioned it and then I thought she could be rigth and she was." I said trailing off at the end.
"Well what's up with you?" he asked and I could hear the worry in his voice. The longer I stalled the more worried he'd get.
   "Joel, I'm pregnant." I whispered.
