(Erin's Point of View)
I shuffled about on the sofa trying to get comfortable. I felt Ryan hit his leg against mine and I turned to face him.
"Can I help you?" I snapped. My hormones were seriously horrible lately. I honestly felt bad for Ryan having to put up with them.
"Stop shuffling about. It's distracting." he said. I sighed and shook my head.
"I'm sorry that my inability to get comfy because I'm carrying your child is distracting you. In case you hadn't noticed my baby bump has inflated since the beginning of December." I said sarcastically. I was now six months along and we'd found out we were having a baby girl. We were both ecstatic when we found out. I honestly didn't care what we had as long as it was our little baby.
"Well it kinda does that the further along you get Erin. You're six months now." he said. I rolled my eyes and sunk into the sofa, folding my arms over my bump.
"I know. Sorry I snapped. Shouldn't really be treating the birthday boy like that." I said and turned to give him a kiss. He kissed me back and pulled away.
"Yeah well you're allowed to be like that, you're pregnant. I just have to deal with the hormones." he smiled before getting up and making his way into the kitchen to make himself a cup of tea. I trailed after him and sat at the dining table.
"I wish I could come out with you tonight." I whined. He was going out with Adam, Andy and a very, very reluctant Joel.
"I do too but you wouldn't have a good time since you can't drink. Plus the only way I could get Joel to come out is that I promised you would stay with Joanne. He's so paranoid right now since she's three days away from her due date." he explained. I sighed and nodded. I'd have fun with Joanne anyway. We always managed to have a good time when we hung out but I did wish I could have went out with my husband for his birthday.
"I know. I'll just have to next year." I said laughing and stood up to walk over to him. He turned around and smiled.
"Well next year we'll have this little one here so I doubt we'll be going out partying a lot." he said putting a hand on my stomach. I smiled when she gave a small kick at his touch and Ryan started laughing. "She's not even born yet and she's a daddy's girl." he smiled. I laughed and punched his arm.
"She'll be the biggest daddy's girl ever Ryan!" I said and opened the fridge to pull out a bottle of water.
"Of course she will. No boy will ever be good enough for my little girl." he grinned as we headed back into the living room.
"I feel for any boy who will want to date her. They'll all be shit scared of you." I laughed.
"So they should be! She'll be my little princess." he said.
"Okay Fletch stop being so cute about our baby daughter." I said with a small smile.
(Ryan's Point of View)
I lifted the beer bottle to my lips and took a sip as I glanced around the room. It felt weird being out with Erin but obviously she couldn't come out and drink what with her being pregnant. It was also weird without Joanne. It usually was always the six of us going out together. I glanced over at Joel who had been pulling his phone out of his pocket all night to check. I watched as he done it again and moved over to him.
"Mate seriously stop checking your phone!" I shouted over the music.
"Can't help it! She could go into labour any day now. I'm just paranoid in case it happens and I'm not there." he said. I put a hand on his shoulder.
"Joel if anything happens you know she'll call or Erin will. Erin's with her anyway so she'll be fine trust me." I said before taking another drink. He shrugged his shoulders and put his phone back into his pocket. I knew it would be back out in his hand in a matter of minutes. I stood up and left him at the table with Adam and went to find Andy who had disappeared into the crowd. I turned around when I heard someone call me.
"Fletchaaaaaa!" I turned and laughed when I spied the drunken mess that was Andy. He made his way over to me and put an arm around my shoulders. "Happy birthday man. Twenty three. Seriously, you are getting old now." he slurred and laughed to himself.
"I think someone is a bit too drunk eh?" I said laughing at him.
"No." he said firmly but it was still slurred. "I am just a guy out with his four best mates for one of their birthdays. You can't have a birthday without booze can you? So come on. Let's go get pissed." he said and pulled me towards the bar to get another couple of beers.
"Seriously Andy, I think we should get you home soon." I said as I watched him lean against the bar. He turned to me with a smile.
"I fucking love you Ry. Do you know that?" he said and I laughed at just how drunk he was. I pulled him away from the bar and back towards the table where Joel and Adam were. They stood up and met us halfway.
"Think it's time we call it a night lads. This one is so far past drunk." I said jerking my head towards Andy who I was now holding up. Adam grabbed his other arm and put it around his neck and the two of us helped get Andy out the club and into the taxi with us. When I got home I climbed the stairs and walked into our bedroom as quietly as I could. Erin was already asleep by the looks of it. I pulled my clothes off and climbed into bed putting my arm over her waist my a hand settled on her bump.
"Did you have a good night?" she mumbled sleepily.
"Yeah I did. Would have been better with you girls there though." I said before I heard her breathing even out again. I shut my eyes and fell asleep with Erin in my arms.
