(Erins's Point of View)

One minute Ry and I were fast alseep the next one of our phones was blaring out through the silence of our room. I sat up and blindly reached for the lamp on my bedside table. I switched it on and glanced over at Ryan who had buried his head under his pillow, trying to block out the sound.

"Ryan it could be your phone so look for it." I mumbled wishing we didn't have the same ringtone so it would be easier. He reluctantly got out of bed and walked over to the dressing table where both our phones were sat. He picked up his own and answered it.

"Are you aware of what time it is Joel?" he asked. I fell back against the pillow and sighed. I checked Ryan's clock and whined. It was half four. We didn't have to be up at this time.

"What does he want?" I asked Ryan who was listening intently to whatever Joel was saying. A moment later and Ryan had a smile on his face.

"Oh my god seriously? We'll be there soon. I know Erin will want to come and wait there. You know what she's like." he said before hanging up. He made his way over to me and I gave him a look to get him to talk. "They're at the hospital. Joanne went into labour about two hours ago." he said. I shrieked in excitement. Finally, it was about time their baby made an appearance.

"Oh my god! That's it, I'm getting ready and you're taking me there." I said getting up and pulling clothes out the wardrobe. I flung a top and jeans at Ryan so he could get dressed as well.

"I knew you'd want to go and wait." he said pulling his jeans on. I quickly got dressed and grabbed my phone and my bag before racing down the stairs ahead of Ryan.

"Hurry up Fletcher!" I shouted back at him.

"Calm down! Not as if anything will happen by the time we get there. Joel said it looks like it'll be hours until he's here." he explained as we got in the car.

"Just think, in a few months it'll be us in the hospital." I said with a smile. The though excited me and terrified me so much.

"Can't wait. To finally be able to hold our little girl. It'll be amazing." he said, tapping his fingers against the steering wheel as we were stopped at a red light.

"You'll have it easy. I'll be the one in unbearable pain. I feel sorry for Joanne right now." I said and glanced out the window. I thought I'd feel more tired being woken up at half four but I was now wide awake, unusual for me because I normally spend a while after waking up walking around still half asleep.

"Suppose so but still, it'll be worth it." he smiled. I smiled back at him. "Do you know I thought you'd be half asleep right now or even asleep." he said laughing. I just shook my head at him.

"I'm excited about Joanne and Joel finally having the baby." I said. He just laughed and shook his head at me.

"You're cute Fletcher, being this excited about your best friends baby." he said.

"Well I am his godmother." I said smiling.

Five hours we'd been sat here and still nothing. Adam and Andy had also come to wait as well. Joel had been out to see us a few times but it was always a short talk because he wanted to get back to Joanne. I watched out the corner of my eye as for the millionth time since we got here, Ryan pulled his phone out his pocket as it rang then put it back in, ignoring the call. I brushed it off and looked up from the magazine I'd been reading to see a tired looking Joel appear. He suck down in a seat across from us and rubbed a hand over his face.
