(Ryan's Point of View)

I leant against the rack of baby clothes that Erin was searching through and sighed. We'd been at this for almost two hours now and had bought plenty for now. We'd went to the first scan and found out she was actually four months pregnant. The doctor had explained that some people don't show till later on in the fourth month or just at the beginning of the fifth month. So we were pretty shocked at that but really happy as well. It just meant we had less time to wait considering she'd already gone through the first three months of pregnancy. She'd be five months really soon which would mean we'd get to find out what baby Fletcher would be, a boy or a girl.

"Babe, I think we have enough clothes for now. We don't even know what we're having yet so maybe we should stop buying clothes so when we do know we can buy gender ones as well." I said and she stopped searching through the rack and turned to me.

"Sorry, I'm just excited. We'll know in a few weeks though at the twenty week scan." she pointed out. I smiled and put my arms around her.

"Indeed we will. I think that'll be the perfect Christmas present. Knowing if we'll have a boy or a girl." I mumbled into her hair. She pulled out of my grip and turned to face me.

"I can't wait. I mean we find out two days before Christmas! Seriously that couldn't be a more perfect present." she grinned and started jumping up and down in the middle of the shop. I put my hands on her arms and stopped her whilst laughing.

"Calm down Erin." I said. She stopped and smiled. "How about we go look at baby furniture for the nursery?" I asked. She nodded and we headed out of the shop and towards another baby shop to look at cots and changing tables and other stuff we'd need for the furniture. We walked into the shop and Erin instantly walked over to a white cot.

"This looks like the one Joanne and Joel have for their baby." she mumbled with a hand on the top of it. She frowned and turned away from it. "Can you believe he cheated on her? I mean firstly they're married but secondly, she's eight months pregnant with his baby and he goes and does that?" she said as we walked around for a bit looking at everything.

"It's not like Joel. He really regrets it though. He told us the whole story. It was one of his ex flings, she just showed up at their parents party. He's torn apart though." I explained.

"I don't get why he doesn't just explain that to Joanne. I mean yeah she's pissed but she should hear him out." Erin said quietly.

"Babe you've seen her since she got back, she's broken up about it." I said and put my arm around her.

"True, I hope they sort things out soon though. They can't split up I mean it's Joanne and Joel. Plus with the baby due soon, they just have to get back together." she said before walking over to another cot which was a dark mahogany. "Ry I love this one! Can you just imagine our baby boy or girl sleeping in this?" she asked. I smiled at her then looked at the cot.

"If you love it then I love it. How about we get it today? We can just leave it in the room for the nursery until I make a start on it." I offered. She turned to me with a grin on her face.

"Please?" she smiled. I just laughed as we headed over to a shop assistant to see about getting the cot.

(Erin's Point of View)

I headed up the stairs and into the spare room which would be the baby's room when it came. I set the bags of clothes down in the corner as Ryan came up the stairs a few minutes later with the cot in its box. He set it down on the floor and stretched.

"God am I going to dread having to build that." he mumbled. I laughed at him and pulled him out of the room and down the stairs. I lay down on the sofa as he headed into the kitchen.

"Ryan?" I called through. He stuck his head through the door to see what I wanted.

"What is it Mrs Fletch?" he asked with a smirk and a wink.

"What do you want for dinner? I'm thinking take out." I said as I reached for the phone and the menus we had for different take outs.

"Pizza." he said and disappeared back into the kitchen. I dialled the number and ordered our pizza then set the phone back on the coffee table. He finally came back through and sat on the sofa. I lifted my head up and set it back down on his lap. He smiled down at me and started playing with my hair.

"It'll be here soon." I mumbled and turned my head so I was looking at the TV.

"Great! Remember I have to leave after dinner cause we're in the studio tonight." he said and I turned back to him frowning.

"What? When did you tell me that?" I asked.

"The other day. Don't worry I'll be home before midnight. We're just going to try get a few tracks done for putting on singles as b sides." he explained. I sighed and sat up.

"Damn it. I don't remember you mentioning it but oh well. Comes with marrying a band member." I said laughing. He grinned and put an arm around me and pulled me in against his side.

"You'll find something to do. Watch a movie or something." he suggested.

"I might. I might actually go round and see how Joanne's doing. She could probably use her best friend right now." I said and watched as Ryan nodded.

"She probably could babe." he said quietly. We sat watching TV until the doorbell rang. Ryan jumped up and grabbed his wallet before heading out into the hall. He came back a few minutes later already stuffing a slice of pizza into his mouth.

"Come on Ryan! At least wait until you brought it though here." I said taking the box off him and pulling a slice out. He laughed and fell onto the couch next to me.

"Sorry but I am starving so I was not waiting." he said after swallowing his mouthful. I just shook my head as we both took another slice.

"Screw you. Oh also, we'll need to go baby shopping again soon. I know we got some clothes and the cot today but obviously we'll need to get loads more." I said as I started to babble.

"Erin chill! We still have five months to make sure we have absolutely everything we need for the baby. Right now I just want to eat pizza with my wife and stick a movie on before I have to go out." he said and stood up to pick out a movie.

"Fine but I was just saying." I said.

"I know that. I'm also just saying so you be quiet whilst we eat and watch Nightmare on Elm Street." he said coming back to the couch and handing me the remote. I grinned and picked up another bit of pizza. This was perfect, just us two being lazy and watching movies after a long afternoon of baby shopping.
