Chapter 8

Thankfully the dance studio isn't far from here. I sprint down the street and finally get in.

"Hey Kim you're finally here on time!" Joked the receptionist and college buddy Aiden.

"Shut up Aiden." I say giggling with him.

"Is Paul there?" I asked and he nodded.

"Great!" I said sarcastically.

"What happened between you guys?" He asked me

"I'll tell you later. Are you going out to the club? Tonight?" I asked him.

"Hell yeah! Us single ladies need to have fun!" He said laughing at me.

"Alright Aiden I gotta go face he who shall not be named." I said quoting Harry Potter.

I walk into the room where I see see Paul, Dimitri, Johnathon, Nicole, and Amanda my best friend.

"Hey guys!" I said to everyone as I walk into the dance room.

They all said hi and Amanda pulled me aside.

"Spill the beans kiddo!" She said.

"About what?" I asked confused.

"Your date with this Tedder guy Jameira was telling me about." She said lowering her voice since Paul was behind us.

It was about 7:30 pm when the seven of us walk out of the dance studio.

"We'll all meet up at the Avalon at 11 alright?" Said Aiden.

We all say our goodbyes and I get in the car with Amanda.

"So what's up with the Tedder guy?" Said Amanda as we take off Lankershim Boulevard.

"Well long story short I met Ryan while doing an interview for his band. He asked me out on a date. Drove me home after my car got stolen. And now flaked on me." I said.

"Oh hell no!" Said Amanda "You are going to have a fun time tonight. See he made a dumb decision in canceling on you." She said comfortingly.

"Yeah I guess you're right." I said.

Amanda drops me off at home and Jameira starts helping me out with getting ready.
