Chapter 43

I wake up in a white room. "Where am I?" I asked looking around the room.

"You're in the hospital dude. They had to pump your stomach for alcohol poisoning." Said Zach as he got off the chair. As soon as I was about to ask Zach what happened when suddenly I hear the TV.

"Breaking OneRepublic News! Front man Ryan Tedder gets into a bar fight after his wife Genevieve files for divorce." Said the female reporter.

"Dude what did I do last night?" I said to Zach as I sat up on the hospital bed running my fingers through my hair.

"You got really wasted last night man, and got into a bar fight with some jackass cause he thought you were hitting on his girlfriend and she gave you her number. I found you at the bar kicking the guy in the ribs so I grabbed you dragged you to the car where the paparazzi were waiting. They asked you how were things with the wife and you literally shouted that you're drunk and getting a divorce and you were pretty much gone dude." Said Zach.

"So I pretty much made an ass of myself."

"Yeah dude pretty much. Oh and by the way." And out of nowhere Zach punches me hard in the arm.

"Ow! What the hell?"

"That's for smoking again you idiot."

"So?"

"Don't you want to live long enough to see your son grow up?"

Kim's P.O.V

"Oh my god Ryan." I said as I hugged Ryan hard.

"Zach made me think about a lot that day. I want to want to live long enough to see how my son will grow up to be." He said.

"You should write a song for little Copeland."

"I have. It's on the Native album. It's I Lived." He answered.

"Oh honey, that's a wonderful song." I said as I take a bite out of my bagel.

"Thank you." He takes a look at his watch. "It's two right now, you wanna head over to the beach?" Asked Ryan.

"Wow Ryan Tedder at the beach? That's a first." I say jokingly.

"Yes, I need a tan." He laughs back at me.

The two of us get up from the mattress, and Ryan helps me put it back in the shade. We climb down the fire escape and back into my room. "Babe, I have to change into my bikini." I said as I walk into my closet.

I find my favorite black bikini and put it on.

"Wow, baby you look stunning!" I heard Ryan say as I slipped on some black adidas soccer shorts.

"Why thank you." I answered back as he walks towards me and presses his lips against mine

"Come on we should get to my place so I can get ready." He said smirking at me.

"Okay let's go." I said as I grabbed a white tank top and some flip-flops.

We walk downstairs and get to the door. "Where are you two going?" Asked Jameira.

"The beach." I answered.

"Oh cool. Have fun! Don't do anything stupid and use protection!" She shouts as we walk out.

"Wait a minute did she say use protection?" Asked Ryan looking down at me.

"We always say that to each other because that's how we roll." I said to him putting on my black and blue Ray Ban sunglasses.
