Chapter 21

Ryan's P.O.V

"Are you alright?" I asked her cautiously. I gently grab her arm and examine it. That bastard left his hand print around her entire wrist.

"Yes, I'm fine." She said pulling away her arm.

"Come on." I said grabbing her hand, locking our fingers together. We finally go back to our table, I pay the bill and we leave.

The drive home was pretty quiet for the most part. "Thank you." She said softly as she rubbed her wrist.

"For what?" I say turning to her.

"For saving me. Again. Who knows what would've happened if you didn't run after that guy." She said looking at my, I think she's looking at my lips.

"Ryan, you're bleeding!" She exclaimed.

"I am?" I asked putting my against the right side of my bottom lip and quickly look at my fingers where I see a smudge of blood.

We got back to my apartment. She runs into my bathroom as I head towards the kitchen, opening the freezer, pulling out an ice pack. We meet in the living room and sit on the couch. She pours some rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and gently placing it on my lip.

"Agh!" I shout at the burning sensation.

"Sorry." Said Kimberly stopping the blood from tricking down my face. "At least the bleeding stopped, however right side of your jaw is a little swollen." She said gently running her fingers through the bruise making me wince.

I groan. "Oops! Sorry. Guess you'll need this more than I do." She said holding up the ice pack gently placing it on my jaw and smiling weekly.

Weirdly enough, I feel better after she smiles at me. "Better?" She asked.

"Yeah." I said smiling at her.

"I love you." I said out of nowhere. Oh shit! Did that just slip out of my mouth? Fuck! She looks at me stunned. Oh no. What is she gonna say? Oh god, she's gonna reject me. "Damn it snap out of it Ryan!" I shout at myself mentally.

"You.. You love me?" She said. Her eyes really wide. I don't know what to say to her. But she knows the truth and there's no turning back. I take a deep breath.
