The Danger Room or Kai?

Chapter 4 :The Danger Room or Kai?

After the introductions, Kai beckoned me to follow him, which I did since I was completely clueless about what's going on. He took me to the Danger Room. The interior of the Danger Room wasn't what I expected, I have got to admit its huge, but where's the danger? Well, maybe the shiny bronze floor could have been a slipping hazard. Kai said "Oh, you'll be surprised why the call this place the Danger Room"

"How did you...." I started.

"Read your mind? No! The soul flames around your head can change color and or shape, in order to match your emotion, green indicates confusion." Kai said.

"Really?!" I said as I looked at my flames, they were a shade of deep green, like some dim LED lights. "Wow, cool!"

"Yeah any who....." Kai says as he presses a button on the wall. "Meet Hendall, our training creature,"

When he finished, the wall opened up, and out stepped a small goblin. Wait, small goblin? My soul flames flashed forest green with disbelief. The goblin then said with a high pitched voice "What? Never seen a goblin before?"

"Well..... erm....." I stammered,

"What?" the goblin said.

"Em, how do I put this...?" I trailed off.

"You are poor excuse for a goblin!" said Kai.

"What?! You wanna fight?!" said the goblin as his voice got deeper. He looked like he was growing in size, a small pair of nubs where popping out of his head. "Emm...Kai? He's getting bigger right?"

"Can't tell, he's a midget." said Kai as he shrugged. "I mean, look at him, he's barely tall enough to ride the merry-go-round. I bet-" Kai was cut off by a loud and low guttural growl coming from Hendall.

"Your funeral!" Hendall roared, his body enveloped in a bright green light, the light grew brighter and brighter until it was hurtful to watch. When the green light dispersed, standing in Hendall's place was a large green behemoth, the thing had a pair of large triangular eyes, three large clawed fingers on both hands, two spikes jutting from both arms, a pair of large horns, disturbingly long fangs ,and a large serpent tail ending with a serrated spike.

I gulped, Kai smirked.

Kai reach for his belt and took off something, when he raised it, I saw a kunai or a Japanese dagger. He muttered a few words, and the kunai grew to be the size of a medieval battle axe "Oh, this," Kai said as he raised the kunai, "It's a gift from grandpa, not much to look at,"

"Dude, that thing is huge." I exclaimed. Kai made a small laugh. "That's what she-Ohp." He was cut off as Hendall roared and raised his large hoof and slammed them onto the ground. The force was so hard, it caused seismic waves. Kai jumped into the air to avoid the wave, while I leaned backwards to get away, but since I was floating, it didn't look like it affected me much.

As Kai jumped, he made a hand sign with his index and middle sign pointing upwards. He made a wide maroon colored cube under his feet. He used the cube as a platform. I knew immediately that he was using some sort of magic. He repeatedly did that several times and used the cubes as jumping platforms, it seemed like something out of a comic book. I stood there awestruck, almost not caring about Hendall, since he was paying attention to Kai. I didn't think Kai was having a hard time; all he had to do was dodge Hendall's clumsy swipes and jump on the cubes at the same time, it sounds harder than it looks, but his coordination was insane.

When Kai reached Hendall's head, he took a final jump and slashed twice on Hendall's face, just between his eyes and nose. He staggered and roared in fury, clutching at his face.
