Y/N's P.O.V
"Lucas, Mason. I'm sorry I sent you to jail, but what you were trying to do was not okay. It scared me more than anything and I didn't want to risk it happening again." My voice was small, but it wasn't weak. The twins stopped advancing and their eyes grew wide.
"W-we scare you, sister...?" Lucas stuttered slightly and he cocked his head to the side like a confused puppy.
"We didn't mean to scare you, but you just walked in on our business." Mason crossed his arms and huffed, looking away and sighing.
"Your 'business' could have been the end of not only him, but me as well. Do you really think that I would be able to go on if he had been killed?" I moved in front if Josh, grabbing his hand and squeezing it gently. He squeezed back as he gazed upon my smaller frame.
The brothers looked away, obviously thinking hard about my statement. "Very well..." They replied in union and I relaxed visibly. Josh pulled me to him and rested his chin on my head.
"Quite the speech there, Y/N." He kissed the crown of my head and wrapped his lean arms around me, burying me deeper into his warmth and scent.
"Hrmmm..... Just when it could have gotten interesting...." A voice sounded from within the shadows and a figure emerged...
