Y/N's P.O.V

It's been about a semester of school and I had made quite a bit of friends other than Hope and Liz. We usually hang out at the roof top, but something went seriously wrong after one of the best days of my life.

Flash Back (to the Future!! Sorry, but that pun was needed to be made)

"Y/N!!" I turned as Josh (I'm sorry if you know someone named Josh!!) came running down the hall, his curly, chocolate brown hair bouncing with each step. He slowed down to walk next to me, pushing his glasses up a little higher up his nose. "Oh, hey. What's up?" I looked down at the paper he had in his hand, but he tucked it under his arm before I could get a good look.

"Um, c-can I talk to you on the roof?" He stuttered and blushed, averting his eyes and trying to hide his face in his long-sleeved shirt that he always seemed to wear. I nodded and smiled warmly, which seemed to only make him blush even more. We made our way onto the roof top and he closed the door behind us. I turned to him and he pulled out the paper from under his arm and handed it to me. I took it into my hands carefully, trying not to bend it at the edges.

It was a beautifully drawn portrait of me holding a rose and smiling, my eyes were closed and the sun hit me at just the right angle to give me a sort of glow. I turned it over to see a love confession on the back. I smiled and blushed, giggling slightly and hugging him. He tensed for a second, but hugged me back tightly, burying his face into my hair and chuckling lightly.

"Does this mean I can say you're my girlfriend now?" I giggled again and nodded, looking him in the eyes as a warm feeling spread through my veins. "Good, because I wanted to do this for a while now..." He whispered and gently pressed his lips to mine. The kiss was sweet, but had just enough maturity in it to make my heart race. The bell rang and we pulled apart. He grabbed my hand gently and walked me to class. He opened the door and before he let me go, he gave me another kiss. I blushed again and waved, taking my seat over in the back of the class.

(Time skip to the end of school)

"Y/N!" I felt two arms wrap around me. Looking up, my eyes met with Josh's and he pecked my nose. "Do you want to come over tonight? I know we just started dating and all, but remember when you asked me to teach you how to sew? I think I have enough confidence to teach you now." He smiled sheepishly and I remembered when I asked him.

"Mmm... Alright. I also kind of want to see your house too, anyway." He grinned and held my hand, asking me about some of the things I want to sew. We reached his house, which was an average sized home, and he opened the front door. A fairly young woman stuck her head from around the corner before smiling and fixing her attire.

"Welcome home, honey. Is this your girlfriend?" the woman, which I assumed to be his mother, spoke as she smiled warmly. We blushed and he rubbed the back of his head and nodded. "Um... y-yeah... She wanted to learn how to sew, so I brought her over so I could teach her..." He covered his face with his hand again, which I still can't help but find adorable. She squealed happily and took both of my hands into her own and introducing herself.

"Oh, hello sweetie! My name is Alice Greene, Josh's mother. I'm so glad he was able to find such a sweet looking girl. Please do take care of him, he can be a shy boy." She gave a closed-eye smile and I smiled back, nodding firmly.

(Time skip to a few hours later)

"Oh my, Y/N. I know you told me you weren't very good at it, but I seriously didn't expect to see this." Josh gently applied yet another band-aid to my fingers. I blushed and looked away sheepishly. "I-I know... I'm not exactly the type of person to be doing this kind of stuff... I just thought it would be pretty cool to learn, especially after I saw you make that stuffed (favorite animal)..." He looked at me, slightly surprised. "You thought it was cool...? I thought you would have made fun of me for being good at it or something..." He turned his attention back to my fingers as he smiled happily, a blush covering his cheeks (the blushing duo!!).

"Well, it's getting late, so do you want to call someone to give you a ride home or-" The doorbell rang and his mother answered it. Standing in the doorway was Lucas, Mason, and Kantia. Mrs. Greene stepped out of the way and showed them into the living room, where we were sitting. "Hey, Y/N. who's that?" Kantia questioned as she sat next to me, smiling politely at Josh while the twins glowered at him.

"Um... This is Josh, my... boyfriend." I glanced at the twins anxiously as their expressions darkened heavily. "Boyfriend, huh...?" Lucas mumbled under his breath and Kantia smiled and introduced them all. We spent a little more time there before the twins announced it was time to go. I was the last to leave the house, so I gave Josh a quick peck to the cheek before scurrying off and entering the car. He waved from his door until we were practically out of view.

We pulled into the driveway after a long, awkward silence that was only interrupted by Kantia's gentle humming. I tried to bolt towards my room, but the twins had grabbed me and pulled me to the kitchen. "What is the meaning of this, Y/N? Boyfriend? Is he blackmailing you or something?" Mason growled and I furrowed my brow unhappily.

"No, I really do like Josh. And what's with your attitude?" I crossed my arms firmly and glared right back at them. They looked at me surprised and didn't say anything after that. I scoffed and walked to my room, just missing their murderous intents.

(Another time skip to midnight)

Josh's P.O.V

I felt something hit me as I slept. I tried to wake up, but failed until a searing pain ripped through my leg. My eyes launched opened as I screamed into the gag. Wait, gag? I looked around before looking at my leg, which had a knife sticking out of it. I gasped shakily and looked around again frantically. I made eye contact with Y/N's brothers. Hold the phone... Y/N's brothers? Okay, what in the freak is going on?!

I tried to loosen the gag so I could scream for help, but my efforts were futile. The brothers grinned sadistically and they walked towards me with an extremely large ax. I panicked and began moving around, causing the chair to tip over and hit the ground.

Y/N's P.O.V

I woke up to get a glass of water when I heard something hit the floor. Curious, I made my way to the room above me and opened the door. I dropped my glass when I saw Lucas and Mason standing over a tied up Josh, who looked terrified and had a knife sticking out of his leg. I grabbed the nearest item, which was a conveniently placed baseball bat with nails sticking out of it. I charged at the twins, who were in a slight shock from seeing me walk in, and swung with all my might. I managed to hit Mason in the head, immediately knocking him out and causing Lucas to put the ax down. I swung the bat at him next and caught him in the groin. He heaved and fell over, holding his crotch and whimpering.

I freed Josh and helped him limp to his house, where I locked the door and notified the authorities. They managed to arrest the twins for assault and threw them into prison.

End of Flash Back

It's been nearly five years since the incident, Josh and I are still dating. We were sitting on the couch, cuddling, when we received a phone call from the police station. I picked up the phone and nearly dropped it at the first thing they told me.

"The twins, they escaped."
