Day 2: Past Upbringings

Y/N's P.O.V

I sighed as I walked through the halls of my new home, still having a little trouble believing I was half-demon. With the help of my overly kind father, he taught me how to conceal my new appendages so that I could travel back to the human world.

"Y/N!" A voice shouted from behind me. I turned to see an enthusiastic Josh as he bounded over to me, the twins following not too far behind. "What's up, guys? Besides the sky, though." I grinned at the corny joke as Josh rolled his eyes playfully.

"Har har, Y/N. But we were thinking about taking you somewhere in the human world. You're heading there now, right?" Josh looked at me innocently, his eyes sparkling like a young child. I nodded and was taken by the arms, Josh grinning even wider than before.

"Good. Now let's go!" We waltzed into the human world, appearing somewhere I didn't expect Josh to be so happy about being in. We arrived at the Valentine Mansion, the the tall, broad arch at the front door looming over us. Mason and Lucas opened the doors and bowed politely as Josh and I walked in. The first thing I remember is walking in the first time, when the twins had found me in the streets after being beaten by my 'father'.

My eyes drifted around the large space, taking in the sights when a 12 year old Kantia came walking around the corner, who smiled when her gaze met mine.

"Hello, Y/N. It appears we meet again." (A/N: Holy shit. I just realized I didn't make Kantia age when I wrote the Christmas Special. O_o WTF did I do??? Let's say that happened before the prison incident.... Yeah...) She walked over to me and hugged me tightly. Even at her age, she was able to become so mature. I hugged her back. "Long time no see. You've gotten so much bigger than the last time I saw you." I looked at her stature. "In more ways than one, too." I heard the twins snicker and Josh face palm as she covered her chest. (I don't know if this is only me, but I have a relative that does that :/)

I smiled and watched as my adoptive parents walked in and gasped, running over to me and hugging me tightly. (They don't know about the incident :/ too lazy to make things complicated)

"Oh Y/N! Long time no see!" Our mother squealed in delight as she nuzzles her cheek against mine, our father chuckling fondly as he ruffled my hair. Soon enough, they moved on to their biological children and showered them in equal affection. I grinned as they complained childishly, but still smiling happily. Josh and Kantia happened to get into a heated conversation, which lead to a lot of sparks flying (mostly from Josh) and me trying to calm them down. Kantia sighed and smiled before retreating back to her room to finish some things.

The twins, Josh, my adoptive parents, and I sat in the kitchen, talking and catching up (while leaving some of the unfortunate bits out). Apparently, they managed to open 3 new site locations in different parts of the world, explaining why they had left for over 5 years. Josh remained quiet most of the time, seeing he wasn't really in a lot if those memories, but we went our separate ways eventually when they got called off to another meeting. We drove down to Josh's mom's place next, who was more than happy to see me again, but a very cautious of the twins. Soon enough, she lightened up to her usual care-free demeanor and spoke a lot about some of Josh's past, mostly embarrassing him and leading to a few chuckles as he tried to stop his mother's rambling.

Time seemed to have gone out the window as the sun slowly descended beyond the horizon. We waved goodbye as we pulled away, heading to the home we all shared together. We sat together in the livingroom, blankets and pillows thrown about in the middle of the carpet as we talked about a lot of things. Everything seemed to be going great until something suddenly snapped.
