Jack's P.O.V
Everything was going great with the plan. I had the Salvatore's trust, as well as everyone else fooled by my fake charming personality. Next on the list was getting a distraction for the Salvatore's to get out of town. I had a few ideas which I named plan's B, C and D. I just needed a secure plan A. I needed someone who would definitely do their job on getting rid of the brothers.
I had a very good idea on who that person could be. With the help if Klaus' little friends that knew the whereabouts and details of everyone, I gave her a call.
Elena's P.O.V
I sat on the Salvatore's expensive leather couch alone. Damon wanted to surprise me with something and insisted I stayed where I was while he went and retrieved it.
He was taking longer than I expected, was he making the gift right there and then? I leaned back against the couch and twiddled my thumbs. I hugged a cushion for a little while, started making the creases in the couch into a little drawing, text Bonnie for a bit and could've possibly written an entire novel before Damon finally returned. He had a big grin on his face, he was holding something behind his back so I couldn't see.
"What is it?" I asked, I wasn't one for gifts but Damon was getting me excited now.
He winked at me and revealed a tiny black leather box. I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Wow a box!" I teased. He laughed at me and then opened up the box. Inside was the most beautiful necklace I'd ever seen.
"Oh my gosh! Damon! Why did you get me this?" I exclaimed, examining the gorgeous necklace.
"Because I love you." He replied. "And because this necklace has been special to me and Stefan for a long time. It belonged to our Mother, it's the only thing we had left of hers after she died. Our Father thought it was best to get rid of her stuff as soon as possible, me and Stefan we only kids at the time. We didn't understand what had happened, so I kept this secretly. I want you to have it, because it should belong to a beautiful woman."
"Wow, I really don't know what to say. I'm honoured, are you sure you want me to have it?" I asked, taking the box out of his hands. The necklace was a beautiful silver with tiny diamonds traced around the chain. The diamonds curved around in a train like motion towards a diamond heart that lay right in the centre. Truly a work of art.
"May I?" Damon asked as he whipped the necklace out of the box, intriguing me to turn around. I obeyed and removed my long brown hair away from my neck. He hooked the necklace into place and I turned around to face him, letting my hair fall back into place.
"Wow, it looks better on you than I thought it would." Damon smiled.
"You know, I can't deny that I'm a little jealous. You never got me pretty jewellery, Damon." An unmistakable voice interrupted.
Damon turned around to face the curly brown haired girl, her eyes a shimmering brown. She was grinning an evil and mischievous smile that had seduction written all over it.
"Katherine." Damon stated rather unpleasantly.
"Missed me?"
