Elena's P.O.V

I sat down on the steps of the porch next to Damon, watching everyone having fun and pushing each other in the water, laughing, singing and even a little dancing from Alaric. He was drunk, of course. I smiled, all my friends were happy for once. Even though we were far away from home, this was happiest I had ever seen everyone. I felt Damon's hand lightly brush mine, and I let our fingers entwine. Our hands were like that for only a few seconds until Stefan ran over, trying to persuade Damon into the lake. Damon smiled and laughed, quickly followed by a flat toned 'no'. I got up and started to encourage him too.

"Come on! It would be fun!" I squealed, trying to get him up.

"No." I replied as soon as I'd finished my sentence.

"For me?" I begged, bringing my palms together and giving him puppy eyes.

"You want me to jump into the lake, for you?" he repeated me, I nodded and giggled.

"Fine, but you're coming with me!" He yelled playfully, scooping me up into his arms and running over to the lake. I screamed and giggled at the same time, wrapping my arms around his neck. He rocked me back and forth before throwing me in. He stripped off his leather jacket and threw it to the floor, cannon bombing in with me.
"Fun?" I asked him, moving a strand of floppy, wet hair away from my face.
"Not at all. But for you, remember?" He winked, splashing me. I laughed and splashed back, screaming playfully.

Caroline arrived and hopped out of her car. Holding a basket of blood bags, grinning uncontrollably. Damon immediately leaped up out of the lake and vampire sped all the way over to Caroline, startling her

"Step away from the boots." She ordered, stretching her arm out as much as she could, with a blood bag on the end.

"Thanks." Damon replied, laughing a bit as he took the bag from her hand. He ripped off the cap and placed the bag to his mouth, the little zig zag veins becoming vivid under his eyes as he drank more and more.

I smiled and climbed out of the lake with the help from Jeremy, he handed me a towel and I dried myself down. Caroline put down the basket and walked over to me, a panicked look on her face.

"What's up, Care?" I asked, wrapping the towel around my shoulders.

"Nothing, why would something be up?" She replied suddenly.

"Oh, I just thought you looked a bit panic stricken. That's all." I told her. Caroline nodded and walked off.

"That was odd..." I said to Jeremy.

"Tell me about it." He replied.

Stefan's P.O.V

I sat down on the edge of the lake, enjoying the view. Something whacked me lightly on my head, I span around to see Caroline above me. She sat down next to me, slipping off her boots so she could dip her petite feet into the cold water.

"Hey Caroline." I smiled at her.

"Hi." She replied flatly, not even looking at me.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing." She replied, staring at the water.

"Something it wrong, I'm not stupid. Tell me." I demanded.

"Well... I think, I saw Klaus. On my way back." She admitted.

"What? How did he find us!" I almost shouted.

"I don't know... We need to find him, and keep him away from Elena."

I nodded in agreement.
